ANALYSIS: For all those fantasy owners waiting for the prized Toronto Blue Jays 2B to return or have simply been waiting for a boost to their 2B position---Devon Travis is back!
Travis had been nursing a nagging shoulder injury from 2015 and has been brought along slowly up to this point. Owners that had been stashing the talented 25-year-old got to enjoy his first taste of action out of the 8-hole, but should see his place in the batting order slowly creep up as his at-bats get more substantial.
What can you look forward to if you are picking up or activating Travis for 2016? Travis' short audition in 2015 is right around where his career numbers have been at. Travis has sported a .303 BA, .349 BABIP, .360 OBP, .853 OPS and has been reliable for 10-15 HR. He should also chip in some steals and cheap RBI along with having a high R total whether he lands at the top of the bottom of the vaunted "Murderer's Row" known as the Toronto Blue Jays lineup. Owners looking for an upgrade from the likes of Brian Dozier, Kolten Wong, and Howie Kendrick should have no problem swapping Travis in as their starting 2B.
