BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: High-end RB3
ANALYSIS: Houston Texans running back Devin Singletary is coming off of a huge game against the Tennessee Titans last week, carrying the ball 26 times for 121 yards in the team's overtime win. He also caught four passes for 49 yards. Singletary, who started the season as the No. 2 back on the team behind Dameon Pierce, has firmly established himself as the team's No. 1 back.
Despite that, he rates as an RB3 play on Sunday. Why? Because the Texans face the Cleveland Browns, who allow just 261.1 yards per game this season, the fewest in the NFL. Sure, the run defense is weaker than the pass defense, but they still allow the 11th-fewest rushing yards per game, so it's hard to even call that a weak point.
With Case Keenum starting at quarterback, the Texans might have to lean heavily on the run game, so there's definitely upside here, but there's also a good chance that this Texans offense just gets shut down completely in Sunday's contest. If you're willing to accept the risk of a bust game, Singletary is worth playing because of the upside, but there's simply just a huge range of outcomes here.
