ANALYSIS: The Falcons didn’t have a game in Week 14, but they were still able to stay relevant in the news when they announced that rookie Desmond Ridder would be taking over the starting quarterback job for the remainder of the season.
Ridder flashed accuracy and mobility in the preseason, which gives him the making of a quarterback that can provide fantasy upside. Add a strong offensive line, a formidable run game, and a couple of solid receiving weapons and he has streaming upside.
Atlanta will have matchups against the Saints, Ravens, and Cardinals from Weeks 15-17, so he isn’t necessarily a slam dunk play, but he does have the necessary components to be fantasy-relevant during his upcoming stretch.
