DeSean Jackson owners have been understandably upset with him thus far this season. The speedy wide receiver suffered a hamstring in week 1 and hasn't returned to the football field ever since. But now that the team will likely be without Jordan Reed in week 5, the team is ready to put Jackson back out on the field.
Redskins head coach Jay Gruden says Jackson "might" practice this week.
"They're going to see what they can get out of him," claims ESPN 980 in Washington.
If Jackson is 100 percent healthy, he'd be a great WR2 against the Atlanta Falcons in week 5. Unfortunately, we'll have no way of knowing if he's 100 percent even if he does get the green light to go. Jackson has always been a risky fantasy football option, but this week he would be even riskier than normal. Even if he plays, you'd be smart to keep him on your bench until he proves he's ready to contribute.
Consider picking up Jamison Crowder or New Orleans Saints' Willie Snead off waivers and starting them instead.
