ANALYSIS: I'm going a little bit over my self-imposed 50% rostership-threshold with this WW target, I know. But men are weak, I guess. See, the only thing keeping Rose from being an absolute monster is the presence of Kemba Walker in Manhattan. Last season, if you remember, Rose was already an off-the-pine option backing up starter Elfrid Payton. The role hasn't changed, Thibs keeps Thib'ing, and Rose has been as good as ever to kick the 2022 season off.
D-Rose is not an MVP-caliber talent anymore, and he's on the wrong side of 30. Sure, he's also a freakish 1.12 FP/min performer five games into the season, which means he's putting up better fantasy numbers than the likes of Kevin Love, Chris Boucher, Andre Drummond, Joe Ingles, etc. among those playing 23 or fewer MPG. In fact, judging by Rose's total fantasy points over the year (using DK scoring), he's tallied the second-largest amount through five games only bested by Kevin Love (one more game played, though).
Rose is averaging a fantastic 13-3-3-1 per-game line and shooting 48% from the floor on 10+ FGA. Do you know how many players are doing that? All of ten, including Derrick. And do you know who's the only one playing fewer than 28 MPG? Correct, our boy Rose. Take advantage of the glitch in the system and the fantasy GMs human shortcomings, and get some Rose shares before it's too late, almost no matter the format you happen to play in.
