ANALYSIS: Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is having another outstanding season. The veteran running back is the RB4 for the year, averaging 13.8 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. While Tennessee hasn’t won many games, their run game has been productive. Henry has 841 rushing yards and eight touchdowns in 2023.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t been the most consistent weekly running back. He will struggle to score double-digit fantasy points some weeks because the Titans have gotten blown out in multiple games. In other weeks, Henry will have a massive performance, including in Week 13, when he had two rushing touchdowns and 24.5 fantasy points in a loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
Fantasy players should start Henry because he is a superstar fantasy running back. However, he has averaged only 11.5 rushing attempts per game in the four matchups that Tennessee has lost by seven or more points this season. The Titans are nearly two-touchdown underdogs this week to the Miami Dolphins. Fantasy players should temper their expectations for Henry on Monday night because he will likely get scripted out of the game.
