Derek Carr (QB, LV) - Week 15 Waiver Wire Pickups

ANALYSIS: We're already one game into the fantasy postseason. If you still need to read my columns to remind you that Derek Carr is pretty much a must-have quarterback in every relatively-deep league, then something is wrong here. Carr has been quite productive for someone as lowly considered as he's been at the quarterback position through his whole career.

What about his 1.6 FP in W12, you say? Well, in the other three of his last four he's finished as the QB7, QB1, and QB3 respectively. Just in case. Carr is QB2 at the very least, top to bottom. He's finished outside the top-24 quarterbacks in just two weeks this season (and in W1 he finished QB25). He's been a QB1 in five weeks, including three of the last four, which can turn him into a league-winning player.

Carr closed Sunday with 25.8 FP against Indianapolis. Sure, he threw a couple of picks, but he made up for them with 2 TDs while completing 31 passes for 316 yards... and adding 12 yards and another touchdown on the ground. It's been back-to-back games scoring a rushing touchdown for Carr.

The best thing about the Raiders' QB is that he has already gone through the hardest game remaining in his schedule. The next couple of matchups are both against bottom-half defenses against fantasy QBs (21st and 16th-best) and he closes the year against 15th-best Denver. Again, Carr is a must-stream QB if you're playing that way and a must-have QB in any deeper format or 2QB league.
