Philadelphia Eagles running back DeMarco Murray is listed as questionable for Sunday's Week 4 game against the Washington Redskins after going through a full practice on Friday. Murray is dealing with a hamstring issue and missed Week 3's victory over the New York Jets after struggling through two lackluster performances to start the season.
Murray is more likely than not to play on Sunday as there were no apparent issues when going through the full practice but you can never be sure until game day. Pre-game warmups will likely be the determining factor in confirming his status for the game. The Redskins run defense is quite underrated so if Murray does play, he's more of a low end RB2 than a lock to have a big game. On the surface, fantasy owners should be happy if Murray is healthy enough to play but the best case scenario would be him waiting another week or two if it means he'll be at his best for the rest of the season.
The return of Murray will hurt the value of Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles who both delivered very good performances to lead Philadelphia to their first win of the season vs. the Jets. Despite the win, QB Sam Bradford had his worst fantasy game of the season. Murray should help him and the Eagles WRs out more as he's been a very good pass catching RB throughout his career and adds more talent by just stepping on the field.
