BALLER MOVE: Start in All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR1
ANALYSIS: San Francisco 49ers wide receiver/do-it-all specialist Deebo Samuel is one of the NFL’s most explosive and dangerous weapons. He is the WR15 for the year, averaging 15.1 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. However, Samuel isn’t a traditional wide receiver. He is a do-it-all offensive playmaker.
The superstar has 739 receiving yards and four touchdowns this season. He also has 161 rushing yards and five touchdowns in 2023. Samuel has played well all year but has been on fire lately.
Over the past three weeks, the former South Carolina star is the WR1, averaging 27.7 fantasy points per game. He has a rushing touchdown in every game, averaging two offensive scores per contest. Last week, Samuel had eight touches for 150 scrimmage yards, two touchdowns, and 30.5 fantasy points in a blowout win over the Seattle Seahawks.
Today, he faces an Arizona Cardinals defense that has surrendered the 12th-most fantasy points per game to wide receivers this year (28.5). They have given up at least one receiving touchdown to wide receivers in 61.5% of their games this season, including four of the past five.
Samuel is a plug-and-play WR1 this week. The superstar has been on fire lately, and the matchup against the NFC West division rivals is fantasy-friendly.
