ANALYSIS: Tennessee Titans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had high expectations in his first year with the team. However, the veteran wide receiver has been a disappointment. He is the WR27 for the season, averaging 10.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. The former Clemson star has 45 receptions on 83 targets for 699 receiving yards and four touchdowns this year.
Unfortunately, Hopkins has scored double-digit fantasy points in only 36.4% of the games in 2023. However, he has been outstanding in some of those contests. The star wide receiver had four receptions on six targets for 128 receiving yards, three touchdowns, and 32.8 fantasy points in Will Levis’ career debut in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons.
The veteran wide receiver has been in a slump lately. He has scored fewer than 8.6 fantasy points in three of his past four contests. However, the former Clemson star could break out of his slump tomorrow in a critical AFC South divisional matchup.
Hopkins faces the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. The Colts have held wide receivers to 26.6 fantasy points per game this season, slightly below the league average. However, the star wide receiver had eight receptions for 140 yards and 18 fantasy points in the matchup against the division rivals in Week 5.
