On Friday evening, the NASCAR Cup Series held the qualifying session for Saturday night's Coke Zero Sugar 400 race at Daytona International Speedway.
This qualifying session consisted of two rounds. The 10 fastest drivers from the first round advanced to the second round, and then the pole winner was determined by the fastest of those 10.
The 10 fastest drivers that advanced out of the first round were: Chase Briscoe, Bubba Wallace, Riley Herbst, Ty Gibbs, Kyle Larson, Harrison Burton, Aric Almirola, Ryan Blaney, Kevin Harvick, and Ryan Preece.
