The NASCAR Cup Series ran the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday evening, and it was Chris Buescher who grabbed his third win of the season thanks to his teammate, Brad Keselowski, pushing him at the end.
Green Flag Speed for superspeedway races should always be taken with a grain of salt. Typically, drivers who wreck out early will have a high Green Flag Speed because they ran less laps than the rest of the drivers who ran the full race.
Also, Green Flag Speed can be a bit misleading at superspeedways like Daytona simply because of the style of racing, where most of the cars are bunched up in a pack. Some drivers may also purposely not go as fast as they can to stay in a position to ride around.
