BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: Fantasy managers should confidently start David Montgomery in Week 3 against the Arizona Cardinals as an RB2 option.
While Montgomery's stat line from last week was 11 carries for 34 yards and one touchdown, which wasn’t overwhelming, his ability to find the end zone makes him a valuable fantasy asset.
The Cardinals’ defense has struggled to stop the run, and they’ve allowed multiple rushing touchdowns this season, creating a prime opportunity for Montgomery to take advantage near the goal line.
His role as a key red zone back for his team ensures that he'll continue to get opportunities to score, which boosts his fantasy value.

However, Montgomery may be somewhat touchdown-dependent, as his volume hasn’t been particularly high, and his yardage output has been modest so far. While he may not rack up big yardage totals, his consistent involvement in the red zone makes him a strong candidate to find the end zone in Week 3.
Fantasy managers should be aware of this reliance on touchdowns but still view him as a solid RB2 play due to the favorable matchup against a vulnerable Cardinals defense.
