BALLER MOVE: Stash in Deeper Leagues (1% rostered)
CALL-UP ETA: Late 2024
ANALYSIS: Minnesota Twins' fifth-ranked prospect and MLB's 100th, David Festa, currently has the highest K% at 35.5%, the highest SwStr% at 16.4%, and the third highest LOB% at 84% across Triple-A with a minimum of 40 IP. Festa has given up two or fewer runs in two out of his eleven starts this year and has struck out five or more in seven of those starts.
With that said, Festa also totes a top 20 BB% among pitchers with a minimum of 40 IP, which has proven to be a thorn in his side as he's issued at least two walks in seven of his eleven starts this year. As he continues to get his walk rate in order, he'll likely be in the Minors for a few more months, as he's currently projected to start just 11 games this year.
While he likely won't make a tremendous impact on your team this season, the few starts he does get towards the end of the season could be valuable if you need to improve your team's strikeout numbers.
Watch the 6-foot-6 24-year-old strike out eight over five scoreless innings on May 26th. -
