ANALYSIS: Back in 2021, when he was playing for the Chicago Bears, Darnell Mooney had 1,055 receiving yards and looked like a future star in the NFL. But after failing to crack 500 yards in each of the subsequent two seasons, Mooney's looking for a fresh start in Atlanta this year.
Mooney is very clearly the second-most talented wide receiver on this roster, though he'll be third in line for targets behind Drake London and Kyle Pitts. How well he does in this role will depend not only on Mooney but also on how well quarterback Kirk Cousins rebounds after missing nine games in 2023 with a torn Achilles.
I expect ATL WR Darnell Mooney to have a rebound season in 2024 paired with QB Kirk Cousins.

Mooney is a fine option to have on your bench in fantasy, but it's risky to play him until we get a sense of what this Falcons offense looks like. Leave him on your bench outside of deep leagues, with Mooney sitting somewhere around WR60 in the Week 1 rankings.
