BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 19% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Atlanta Braves shortstop Dansby Swanson does not offer eligibility at multiple positions, but he has also been one of the hottest hitters in the game recently. In the last two weeks of action alone, the Braves’ shortstop has nearly doubled his home run total for the season. During this hot streak, Swanson has slashed .310/.348/.714 with five homers and 22 R+BI.
While he only has a .246 batting average (and .300 OBP) this season, Swanson has a hit in 11 of the last 13 games and even had a stolen base on August 22. He has also scored a run in eight of the last 12 games and also has three multi-hit games in the last 13 games. This includes a two home run game on August 21 and, while Swanson has a .244 BABIP in August, he also has a 37.3% hard hit ball rate this month.
Considering that Swanson has been unlucky in terms of batting average (.222), there might even be a chance for more growth with Swanson before the end of the season. A 49% fly ball rate this month is very encouraging and, if he continues to drive the ball, he will be a nice addition in deeper leagues.
