BALLER MOVE: Add in 14+ team leagues
OWNED IN: 16% of Fleaflicker leagues
ANALYSIS: You might not know it by looking at average attendance for Atlanta home games, but it is an exciting time to watch the young Braves, namely Dansby Swanson. The 22-year old highly touted prospect and Vanderbilt alum was dealt from Arizona to Atlanta and his numbers in the minors support the theory that he is the Braves star of the future. He has had just 494 minor league AB since 2015 and he has demonstrated fantastic well-rounded skills in contact hitting, power hitting, plate discipline, and base running. In total he has ten HR, 50 XBH, 13 steals in 16 attempts for an 81% success rate, and a slash line of .277/.367/.435. In 83 AB in 2015 Swanson hit 11 XBH, had a .289/.394/.482 slash line, and walked the same amount as he did strikeout at 14 each. This year at the A+ level he had 13 XBH, seven steals in eight tries for a success rate of 88%, more walks at 15 than his 13 strikeouts, and a .967 OPS before he was promoted to Double-A. Swanson has a crazy-low amount of experience in the minors for someone getting called up to the MLB. However, he has demonstrated superior plate discipline, contact hitting, power hitting, and base stealing since he entered professional baseball, and he could tackle the big league learning curve very quickly.
