Baller Move: Add in All Leagues
Owned in: 13% of Fleaflicker Leagues
Analysis: Between young standouts like Carlos Correa, Francisco Lindor, Corey Seager, Trevor Story, Tim Anderson, and Alex Bregman; it would seem like the MLB has been given the unusual gift of early shortstop development in bulk. Then former Vanderbilt star and #1 overall pick in 2015, Dansby Swanson, hits the league. Everyone was really worried, it almost took him 65 AB to show his greatness. I guess he's just a late bloomer. Since 2015 he has had just 494 AB across A- Hillsboro, A+ Carolina, and AA Mississippi. In that short time span he had a slash line of .277/.367/.435, ten HR, 13 steals in 16 attempts for a 81.3% success rate, a 17.2% K rate, 11.2% BB rate, and a 8.8% XBH rate. In 43 AB in August Swanson had a .280 BA and one SB, but an OPS of just .645. In 33 AB since September began he has a slash line of .333/.395/.545, with two HR, three XBH, a K rate of 15.8%, and a BB rate of 10.5%. Looks like he was a little jealous of Alex Bregman's hot streak...and I think it is safe to say these two will draw comparisons for a while.
