BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
OWNED IN: 34% of leagues
ANALYSIS: A popular target in drafts this spring, Danny Jansen's performance over the first two months of the season can only be described as horrific, or with words that are impolite to use in mixed company. The rookie didn't homer until May 17, and through the end of that month, he was hitting a pathetic .163/.243/.240. He had only 21 hits, and 15 of them were singles. It's little wonder that his ownership rate plummeted.
It's on the way back up now, though - in fact, it's nearly doubled in the last 24 hours. That's because Jansen has four home runs in his last three games, including two on Thursday. Since the calendar flipped to June, he's slashing .288/.350/.603, maintaining his solid walk rate while cutting his strikeouts by more than half.
It might just be a hot streak, but it could be Jansen figuring things out and delivering on the promise that had many fantasy owners eager to invest in his services a few months ago. Those of you who are willing to bet on the latter can still add him for free in two-thirds of Yahoo leagues - if you act quickly.
