BALLER MOVE: Add in All Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 40% of Leagues
ANALYSIS: The New York Giants of all teams keep winning games in the NFL. Now, that's shocking. As is the freaking 6-1 record Big Blue is boasting with Week 7 already in the books. One of the main reasons the Giants have been able to keep this run of results up is obvious: the return of Saquon Barkley to his peak-talent levels. Another one: QB Daniel Jones.
Jones, as much as people out there despise him for what he's done as a pro, has been playing reasonably good football all year long. No, that doesn't mean you should go ahead and cut your QB1 in order to add him from your league's WW. He's not there yet, and most probably he will never actually get to those levels of play. That said, you should definitely consider adding/streaming him ROS given what he's done.
Jones has put up 12.4 FP in all games this season and he has yet to finish a week outside of the top 20 quarterbacks of any slate of games. Jones has a couple of QB1-worth finishes in Week 4 and this past Sunday in the game that marked his season-high in fantasy points (28.8).
Daniel Jones completed 19-of-30 passes against the Jaguars, racked up 202 passing yards and a passing touchdown... and the freak of nature rushed the rock for 107 (!!!) yards on 11 scrambles including scoring another touchdown. See it to believe it.
Of course, Jones is not going to do that weekly. But he definitely can do it: Jones already rushed for 79 and 68 yards in back-to-back games earlier this season and scored two rushing touchdowns against the Giants in Week 4. Only Lamar Jackson has rushed the ball for more yards than Jones pending MNF, and Jones also has the second-most rushing touchdowns tied with three other quarterbacks.
Jones ranks QB9 through Week 7 and he should definitely be rostered in most if not all leagues out there, let alone the deeper ones.
