BALLER MOVE: Start
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB3/Flex
ANALYSIS: Chicago Bears running back D'Andre Swift finally had a good game in 2024. He's not a good running back, though. Luckily for him, he gets to face the Carolina Panthers, who have an awful run defense. They lost their best run defender, defensive tackle Derrick Brown, who was lost to a season-ending injury earlier this year.
Swift is just not good. He failed to score double-digit fantasy points for three straight games to start 2024. Even against the terrible Indianapolis Colts run defense, he averaged just 1.54 yards per carry. The Los Angeles Rams squad he faced in Week 4 was even worse, luckily for him.
Don't think you could've had a better illustration of who has RB vision and who doesn't in the same game between Jonathan Taylor and D'Andre Swift pic.twitter.com/tGNJ0Xul3i

Swift has never had good vision and is terrible on inside runs. He didn't just magically put it all together and become a great running back overnight. If he was a great player, he'd likely have never left Detroit. It's a perfect time to sell Swift in case he falls flat against Carolina, which is possible.
The Bears back should have a fine game this week, and possibly even against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6, who boast a horrendous defense. But it's risky hoping that the defense he faces whiffs as hard as the Rams did, and he's a risky start if you hang onto him.

The wide receiver position has an advantage over the running back position in PPR scoring formats, typically.
