How much of that is his fault and how much is the fault of the Bears is tough to tell, but he's made a lot of terrible plays on his own. Typically great running backs can at least look serviceable behind horrific offensive lines (see Jets RB Breece Hall in 2023 playing behind literal 4th-string offensive linemen).
Swift has long been criticized for his play, and now that he's finally on a team that doesn't have excellent offensive line play, his deficiencies are rearing their ugly heads. Swift truthers can cope all they want, but good running backs don't avoid wide-open lanes to run into their own linemen.

Swift has 1.8 yards per carry on the season. He was supposed to have a "get right game" against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3. The Colts have one of the worst defenses in the league. They've allowed the 2nd most rushing and 2nd most passing yards in the league. Didn't matter.

It might be Roschon Johnson time. Swift has been absolutely terrible, and it's likely the Bears coaches are fed up with it.

Johnson might not be a world-beater, but it won't take much for him to be better than Swift. Don't start Swift this week. He's been dropped in many leagues and may not even be worth picking up.
