BALLER MOVE: Start In 12-Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS: After a strong start to his first year with the Philadelphia Eagles, D'Andre Swift has been a disappointing fantasy asset in recent weeks. Over the last four games, Swift has rushed 49 times for 206 yards and caught five passes for 12 yards. That equals an average of 6.1 half-PPR points per game during that stretch.
In Week 16, he draws a favorable matchup against the New York Giants. The G-Men have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to running backs this year. They have also given up the third-most rushing yards per game (112.4) to the position.
Swift should have plenty of running lanes and opportunities for explosive plays, but one of his biggest downfalls is Jalen Hurts being called upon near the goal line instead of him. Hurts has 12 touchdowns inside the five-yard line, while Swift only has two touchdowns in that area on just nine attempts.
All things considered, Swift has plenty of upside and could be in for a 100-yard rushing day, but the presence of Hurts and the "brotherly shove" often limits his ceiling. Given the scarcity of the running back position in fantasy right now, Swift remains a clear start in 12-team leagues as a midrange RB2.
