Buffalo Bills running back Damien Harris had decent success with the New England Patriots to begin his career, compiling 2,000 yards and 20 touchdowns during four seasons with the team. He signed a $1.7 million deal to join a high-powered offense led by Josh Allen.
Unfortunately, the Alabama product suffered an injury in Week 6 that has sidelined him to this point.
When is Harris coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Damien Harris Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Damien Harris (neck, concussion) has been placed on injured reserve. He will miss a minimum of four games. Harris had been splitting time with Latavius Murray as a depth option behind James Cook, but he will now miss extended time after exiting Week 6 and being taken to the hospital with a serious upper-body injury.
Harris was discharged the next day, but his road to recovery will still take some time. Although he is eligible to return in Week 11 against the New York Jets, it seems unlikely.
With Harris on IR, James Cook, Latavius Murray, and the newly-signed Leonard Fournette will compete for touches in the Bills' backfield.
Damien Harris Fantasy Football Outlook
If Harris returns this season -- which is up in the air -- he likely won't have much fantasy value. He handled just 23 carries for 94 yards and one touchdown in six games prior to his injury.
With Fournette added to the fold, there won't be much room for him to operate. He can be safely dropped in all formats unless you have extra space in your IR spots.
He will be a free agent in March, so he could land in a more favorable spot for fantasy football production in 2024.
