BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: Low-End TE1
ANALYSIS: Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert is set to return on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, ending a three-game absence due to a forearm injury.
Goedert is in the midst of his worst season since 2019, as he's averaged just 45.6 receiving yards per game this season for the Eagles. Overall, he has 38 receptions for 410 yards and two touchdowns in the nine games that he's played.
With DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown playing so well, there just isn't as much room for Goedert in this offense, though he remains a fantasy TE1 option because of the lack of depth at the position. Assuming he isn't rusty when he returns on Sunday, he should be the No. 3 option in this Eagles passing game, so there's definitely some upside here, even if it isn't the same kind of upside that we saw from Dallas Goedert over the past few seasons.
Goedert is right at the borderline when it comes to the top 10 fantasy tight ends this week. He's playable in a 10-team league if you don't have a clear top 10 option, but we would necessarily feel he's a safe play in those formats.
