The Dallas Cowboys finished 12-5 last year in the NFC East with one of the easier schedules in the NFL. With a second-place division finish in 2022, though, their schedule is expected to get tougher this upcoming season.
The Cowboys will surely have their fair share of fantasy football superstars once again in quarterback Dak Prescott, running back Tony Pollard, and wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Brandin Cooks. These Dallas stars finished as the QB18 (Prescott), RB8 in PPR (Pollard), and WR5 in PPR (Lamb) last year. Cooks has six top-20 wide receiver finishes in his career.
Will their harder 2023 schedule hurt their fantasy opportunities? Here's a look at it.

2023 Cowboys Schedule Analysis for Fantasy Football
With tougher opponents in 2023, the Cowboys will draw some elite defenses. The Eagles, Jets, Patriots, 49ers, Chargers, and Bills were all very good against fantasy quarterbacks last year. The 49ers, Patriots, Bills, and Jets also held fantasy running backs in check in 2022.
The Cowboys receiving group will have some difficult matchups, too, especially Lamb. This season, Sauce Gardner, Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slay, Tre'Davious White, Charvarius Ward, and Tariq Woolen are all on Dallas' schedule.
The fantasy playoff schedule (Week 15-17) is a mixture of good and bad for the Cowboys. They'll face the tough Bills defense in the cold in Week 15 that was elite against fantasy QBs, RBs, and WRs in 2022. But after that, it lightens up. They'll face a Dolphins defense in Week 16 that fantasy QBs lit up last year, though Ramsey could help with that. After that, Dallas will take on the Lions in Week 17 in a potential shootout that is bound to generate an abundance of fantasy points.
The Cowboys offense has had a top-five offense in back-to-back years and that shouldn't change in 2023. They draw some difficult opponents, but they should continue to score points, which will correlate to big fantasy points from Prescott, Pollard, Lamb, Cooks, and even Michael Gallup.
