Welcome to the Tuesday, June 25th edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.
Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.
In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on June 25th. Enjoy them. You can even respond with your own thoughts on Twitter @EllisCan2.

Daily Musings
- Jordan Hicks w/torn UCL. Ouch! Everyone jumps to John Gant. Take a look at Carlos Martinez.
- Jean Segura back to the second spot in the order. Back to hitting. 4-for-6 w/eighth HR.
- Welcome to HR society, Giancarlo Stanton (1). Your 445ft admission ticket is quite impressive.
- Foiled by mother nature. Adam Plutko cruising through 4IP, 1ER, 3K. Long rain delay prevents W chance. Next start in Camden.
- Lourdes Gurriel. 10th HR. Respect. Demotions to minor leagues are beneficial.
- Where did all the Steven Matz enthusiasts go? Likely underground w/4.1IP, 7ER, 3BB, 1K outing. That pain in your chest is acid reflux. Breath.
- Julio Teheran met a similar fate as Matz. He had two strikeouts though w/4IP, 7ER, 3BB. They say Prilosec works best.
- Michael Conforto trying to make a habit of HR every third game. 16HR, 40RBI is a welcomed addition to any roster.
- Mookie Betts w/more Fly Balls (46.5%), but fewer HRs (11%HR-FB). 13th Monday w/.266AVG. More to come. Buy into it. Not a top-three price now.
- THUNDER!! Jason Kipnis gets a little love w/6th HR. Over the last two weeks, 4HR, 14RBI, .372AVG. He’s hot. Trip to Camden next. Only 10% owned. Get Some!!
- Ronald Acuna cruisin’ to 18HR/10SB. 20/15 mark is next. Knock ‘em down.
- Asdrubal Cabrera w/three-game suspension, starting Tuesday. Get him out of lineups.
- Dansby Swanson’s .259AVG never looked so sexy. 52R, 15HR, 48RBI, 6SB.
- Yes, Brendan Rodgers has been so terrible (0HR, 7RBI, .224AVG) that you’d rather start Pat Valaika (0HR, 0RBI, 0.50AVG). I’ve never seen something so genius. (Smothered, covered, diced, chopped, blended, whipped, and topped…w/Sarcasm)
- Willson Contreras w/16th HR. 2.2WAR behind only Yasmani Grandal and JT Realmuto.
- Tyler Glasnow has a setback in recovery. Will miss more time. Frustration mounts.
- Tweeting and subtweeting. Fancy words for people running their mouth. In regards to all the Trevor Bauer beef, its a matter of different personalities and we deal with that every day. As long as things aren’t illegal, unethical, or immoral, let people be themselves and play/enjoy the game.
- Christian Walker is back. .208AVG in May. .297 w/4HR, 12RBI in June. LAD & SF rest of week. It will take more pops similar to his 427ft shot Monday.
- Enjoy your Tuesday baseball. Back to a full slate.
- No Fear, Just Fantasy.
