Welcome to the September 1st edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.
Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.
In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on August 31st games. Enjoy them. - Ha, you wish that was the price of gas again. 0.88 is Daniel Vogelbach’s batting average. For some reason 1% are smarter than the rest of us.
- Marco Gonzales w/ 9 IP, 1 ER, 8 K. No, it was the Angels. Thanks for asking. He gets TEX next.
- It’s never too late, but Justin Upton (fourth HR), it’s almost time to head back to Hampton Roads.

- Miguel Sano, proud of his 408-foot souvenir, could only watch in awe as Luis Robert clobbered one 449 feet. He tips his hat. Respect.
- Jake Cave, you were supposed to do something with this opportunity. Are you ready to go back to Hampton Roads too?

- Guess who is back. Sean Doolittle. Daniel Hudson still the guy.
- There’s Brandon Workman. 1 IP, 2 ER.
- Happy Tuesday everybody. Whew, that was a wild day of baseball activities. Try to reassess your lineups to see where you stand after the wreckage. Give someone in the baseball community a Win today. Reach out, give a compliment. Be thankful for advice.
