Welcome to the July 11th edition of Daily Slivers of the Fantasy Soapbox.
Discussing baseball is as fun as the game itself. It has a way of bringing people together to share different opinions about the sport we all love. A similar action can be done with fantasy baseball where we not only discuss topics but also look to improve our teams as well as the teams of our fellow fantasy baseball enthusiasts. Everyone has their own perspectives which are not to be cast off as frivolous. They should be used as a method of expanding our own knowledge.
In this article, I review the previous day's boxscores and provide my opinion on a variety of topics. Some will be random, some will be fun, and some will be stat-driven. It's a soapbox so I may rant from time to time as well. So without any further delay, below are my thoughts on the July 10th games. Enjoy them. You can even respond with your own thoughts on Twitter @EllisCan2.

Daily Musings
- Pete Alonso w/17th Care Bear Stare!
- Kwang Hyun Kim w/ 2.56 ERA in Jun/Jul. I guess I'll enjoy it all by myself. (32% rostered) 화이팅 (Rooting for you)
- It's a party, Ibiza-style. Gerrit Cole w/ sticky-less 9 IP, 12 K...right?
- Look at the coolness of Brandon Lowe investors w/ 20 HR. .208 AVG ain't nothin' but a number. 17% SwingStrike rate ain't nothin' but a thang.
- "Wait, why is everyone happy about B. Lowe, but I get the catcher treatment." ~ Mike Zunino w/ 19 HR, 198 AVG.
- Trevor Larnach opens his own wind tunnel to test car aerodynamics. No machinery necessary; just a bat.
- Alec Bohm Believers! It's your time to rise up. Sixth justification of rightness. **I don't think that is a lot**
- The disrespect. Nelson Cruz (two) threw the walker aside & stole a base. Don't underestimate 26.2 ft/sec sprint speed.
- Brandon Crawford (18) whispered the secret to the bat boy. Increase Hard Hit & Elevation: higher Barrel rate.
- Anthony DeSclafani is not from KY (6 IP, 0 ER, 6 K), but I'm sure he loves his bourbon.
- Ramon Laureano has started downshifting. 11th SB.
- THUNDAH! Seth Brown w/ 472-ft shot to rock the casbah.
- Joey Gallo & Smokey Robinson just cruisin'. 11 HR, .340 AVG last 15 games.
- Loyalty. You better have it for Sean Murphy (11 HR, 236 xBA)
- Can we get some variety for James Kaprielian? He's faced the Rangers three times in the last four outings.
- YES! Lucas Giolito w/ 5.1 IP, 2 ER, 9 K. What?! You wanted more?
- Some I95 love, please. Brian Goodwin batting .282 with four HR for White Sox...Only 1% rostered. Nobody has holes to fill?!
- No, you cannot have a team full of Brian Reynolds. 16 HR, .304 AVG.
- 33% of folks agree that Jonathan Villar is a beast! Oh no, not me. I'm on the outside; I'm lookin' in.
- Tylor Megill yearns for a hearty serving of innings, hold the walks. 3.2. IP, 1 ER, 7 K. 3.54 SIERA, 22% K-BB.
- 16% of people still roster Martin Perez....why?! I know that 4.7 SIERA is like a magnet.
- I get it now, Freddie Freeman (19) is the cream that rises to the top.
- I need a hero. I'm holding out for a hero....and I don't think Max Fried is it. Sixth W, 5 IP, 3 ER, 5 K. 4.16 SIERA
- Mike Minor keeps standing out in the rain. 4 IP, 6 ER.
- OOooh, ask and you shall receive. Oscar Mercado blasts his response with a side hustle. 1% owned. Flier time.
- Andrew Benintendi orders the gumbo. What's an Ohio boy know about gumbo? (10 HR, 7 SB, .275 AVG...sounds like a southern tour to restore the faith)
- NO! No takebacks. You didn't want German Marquez (7 IP, 9 K vs SD). You tossed him aside like a slobbery old dog toy. Go off & pout.
- Mookie Betts continues to drill for oil. He SLAMS down his tools & raises his arms in jubilation. YES!!!!!
- What's Cesar Hernandez' highest HR total? 15 (2018). What's he got now? 15. How old is he? 31. Hmm. Intriguing.
- Paul DeJong (12) enjoys the bottom of the lineup. He gets to skip rocks deep into the lake whenever he wants.
- My choice for NL HR Champ, Nick Castellanos, is a team player. He helps Suarez cross the 18 HR line....TOGETHER!
- All 16% people who rostered Caleb Smith, there is a brown bag under your seat. Breath into it. 1 IP, 9 ER.
- Absolute destruction in Dodger Stadium.
- AJ Pollock expresses himself artistically. His 11th & 12th pieces were strokes of genius.
- With a 48% GB rate, Chris Flexen continues to defy the gods. I know, I know. The 12% K-BB is tasteless.
- Ronald Acuna Jr., good luck with ACL surgery/recovery. I busted mine up too.

- Heath Hembree (six) I see you're playing monkey in the middle w/ me.
