Ladies (one or two reading this) and gentlemen, here is your late game Daily Fantasy Baseball lineup advice for the late games on April 18th, 2013:
Thursday Play of the Day: Nick Swisher ($3,500) - Due to his time with the Yankees, Swisher has compiled a large sample size of ABs against Lester. He has also done quite well, going 15-46 with 8 extra-base hits. Last night he went 2-4 with a home run and weather should be good so I'm going to start him confidently on all sites tonight.
Prime Pine Play (Sit this guy!): Adam Jones ($4,400) - He simply costs too much to start against David Price, whom Jones is just 7-34 against in his career. Look for a cheaper, better option like Ellsbury.
RotoCole's Primary Fanduel Lineup:
P: Jose Fernandez ($3,400) - Even though he faces a somewhat hot Reds team, I like Fernandez's chances to stay hot and pitch a little deeper into the game. I also play daily fantasy for fun and love watching Fernandez, so I'm not super confident but I'm excited to start him tonight.
C: Evan Gattis ($3,500) - Gattis is facing a lefty and he is really strong. That should be more than enough to convince you to start Thursday's best catcher option.
1B: Joey Votto ($4,700) - I'm picking Votto assuming that if the Reds score a lot he will have had played a large role in the run production.
2B: Dustin Pedroia ($4,100) - I'm hoping Dusty can pick up a couple RBI by knocking in my pair of Red Sox outfielders.
3B: Kevin Youkilis ($3,900) - Youk's been going strong, and he gets a nice matchup against lefty Patrick Corbin. Should have a nice night.
SS: Jimmy Rollins ($3,600) - Jimmy is the only Philly hitting right now and he is the only shortstop option I like tonight.
OF: Shane Victorino ($3,700) - Has never faced McAllister but he hits righties well and went 3-3 last night. I'm going to ride him while he is hot. < (Weird)
OF: Jacoby Ellsbury ($4,100) - He has faced Cleveland starter Zach McAllister three times in his life, and twice he has doubled. I love Jacoby today. He is the best OF option over $4K.
OF: Nick Swisher ($3,500) - Our Prime Time Play mashes against Lester. Get this value play into your lineup.
