Some people tend to stray away from the smaller slates. I think it is the best time to flex that basketball muscle and find those under owned players that are going to propel your team to the top. In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/30/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope - SG, at BOS ($5,400) 

So, many of you that picked Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Saturday are already rolling your eyes, but hear me out. Yes, he threw up the biggest of duds, but who doesn't want to get in on a rebound night from one of the more inconsistent/infuriating fantasy players. Even if he does end up going against Isaiah Thomas all night, I still expect the Pistons workhorse to contribute much more than he did last outing. His price is modest but we know the KCP is more than capable of scoring and Detroit will likely open the 'offensive' flood gates against Boston.

DJ Augustin - PG, at MIN ($3,500)

D.J. Augustin went for 23 points and contributed for most of the backcourt scoring in yesterday's game against the Raptors. Although the matchup does fall in favor of the better shooter, Augustin, Elfrid Payton excels at getting to the lane, one of Ricky Rubio's defensive flaws. He went for a double-double against Toronto so no need to worry about him not producing, as he is clearly the lead distributor in Orlando. The Magic are heating up, watch out.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Channing Frye - PF, at DAL ($3,800)

Channing Frye at this price point and in this situation provides excellent value. With the news that Kevin Love won't play tonight, Frye's minutes - and therefore opportunity and value - shoot way up. For the season, Frye's number are a little underwhelming in relation to what you seek in a DFS player you would roster, but he's made the most of his playing time, averaging more than .8 fantasy points per minute. His Usage shoot climb higher tonight as well, as when Love has sat this season, Frye's Usage rate climbs from 17 to over 20. On top of all that, the fact that the Mavericks run a slow offense should help the older Frye, who doesn't get up and down the court as nimbly as he did earlier in his career.

Marcus Morris - SF, at BOS ($5,300)

Marcus Morris is usually not the best fantasy option because of his defense-first style of play. That being said, he does have a decent jumper and can generate offense if he absolutely needs to. Usually, he is not needed in that aspect, but against the Celtics, he should feast on the boards and have plenty of put-back opportunities. The Celtics are strong when it comes to on-ball defense but struggle in the rebounding department. Morris should be in for one of those 'once in a blue moon' games where he goes for 45 FPS out of nowhere.

Andre Drummond - C, at BOS ($8,000)

Three Pistons. I didn't realize I picked three Pistons. Oh wait, yes I did because the Celtics have been on fire lately and the Pistons are the perfect team to spoil that. Detroit matches up well against the smaller Celtics lineup and if Boston is not hitting their shots, this game can easily fall in favor of the Pistons. Detroit will dominate the boards and Andre Drummond is one of the most dominant centers in the league when it comes to the low-post, rebounding, and scoring around the rim, exactly where the Celtics struggle.
