Daily Fantasy NBA Lineup Picks for FanDuel (1/21/17) - DFS Basketball Advice

With most of last night's games ending in a blowout or upset, today is the perfect chance to make up for any losses last night. I would suggest not spending up for James Harden tonight, simply because of his matchup while there are plenty of other options that have more upside. The Grizzlies have had the Rockets number this season and while Harden may get the triple-double, it may be on the lower end of DFS significant triple-doubles. Instead of Harden, look for Eric Bledsoe, Isaiah Thomas, and Nikola Jokic to all be great options tonight.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/21/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel. Let's get rolling.

Editor's Note: Our industry-leading NBA DFS Lineup Optimizer/Generator tool helps you build winning DFS lineups in seconds. Try it now for free, and get an edge on your competition.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Jamal Murray - PG, vs LAC ($3,600)

First of all, Jamal Murray threw down a pretty monstrous dunk last game versus the Spurs, showing off his athleticism, and followed it up with one of his better games of the season. Secondly, Murray has been seeing an inconsistent amount of minutes and it should be no surprise that if Murray is hitting his shots, he gets more time. Mike Malone plays the hot hand I expect that to be the case this game, especially against a depleted Clippers squad. His price tag frees up plenty of space to stack your roster with plenty of talent to make up for Murray possibly having a low-production game.

J.J. Redick - SG, at DEN ($4,700)

As one of the top shooters on a team without their primary playmaker, J.J. Redick will need to find a way to contribute as the lead outside scorer for Los Angeles. With Jamal Crawford, Austin Rivers, and Raymond Felton, all splitting ball-handling duties, Redick is clearly the one they want to do most of the shooting. His price is a little high but if you have the money to spend, I recommend putting it on Redick. He is also due for a rebound game which makes me comfortable rostering Redick.

Also Consider: Jamal Crawford - SG, at DEN ($3,900)

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Joe Ingles - SF, vs IND ($3,700)

Joe Ingles has seen a major increase in minutes while Rodney Hood is out, and he has not disappointed. He is able to score the ball and is more than comfortable finding the open man and making the extra pass when necessary. This can hurt his fantasy production but also means he is more than capable of contributing across the board. He is a very valuable asset and his price makes him hard to pass up. He should be a hot commodity for as long as he price remains below $4,000 and his minutes stay above 30.

Thabo Sefolosha - PF, vs PHI ($3,700)

Thabo Sefolosha has his hands all over the defensive side the ball and it has started to benefit his overall statistical contributions. He has been able to been the main benefactor for easy fast break points and even the occasional assist. The Hawks have been up and down this season and for the time being, Sefolosha is a important part of his team and his skills on the offensive side of the ball, compliment his steals perfectly. He is a fantasy gem because of steals, and is a DFS diamond by his ability to score. A streaky diamond but a diamond nonetheless. Sefolosha is in a small group of players than can turn steals into DFS relevant stats.

Also Consider:  Marvin Williams - PF, vs BKN ($4,900)

FanDuel DFS Centers

Tyson Chandler - C, at NY ($5,700)

Tyson Chandler is clearly still rebounding like it is still 2012. He has been struggling a bit on offense but being able to pull down 20+ rebounds regularly is hard to pass up. If Joakim Noah is out, Chandler is going to dominate the Knicks down low. If Joacim Noah does in fact play, Chandler will still dominate. This is another revenge game for Chandler and it should no surprise that the former Knick has his best games against the Knicks. Look for the Knicks to come out with a victory, but Chandler will have a day to remember.

Also Consider: Al Horford - C, vs POR ($7,300)
