This part of the season is the hardest to track, with players coming down with illnesses and the normal wear-and-tear the season has on them, be sure to be constantly checking for injury updates. In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/14/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel. With only a few games on the slate, you need to perfect lineup.
With a game starting early, I will be focusing on the main slate, and instead offering my early game picks here. Austin Rivers, Julius Randle, and Jordan Clarkson are the players I believe will outscore their projection. That being said... let's get rolling.

FanDuel DFS Guards
John Wall - PG, vs PHI ($9,700)
This is a lock for tonight if John Wall is ready to go. The 76ers are on their second night of a back-to-back, giving John Wall an immediate advantage. He did not participate in practice, but still managed to take some shots. Because of a possible lingering pinkie injury, Wall is still a game-time decision. This part of the season is usually the roughest on the players and Wall is no exception. With the 76ers potentially fatigued and Wall playing, this will be one of those nights for him, especially after a below par outing against the Celtics last game.
Jrue Holiday - PG, @ CHI ($6,800)
This price tag is still a little higher than I had hoped, but it doesn't change the fact that Jrue Holiday has a favorable matchup ahead of him against the Bulls. While Chicago shuffles their roster around injuries, Holiday is clearly going to be one of the better players in this matchup, alongside Anthony Davis and Jimmy Butler. If Davis is able to play, look for Holiday to be waiting on the outside for open jump-shots while Davis and Tyreke Evans facilitate the offense. If Davis doesn't play, Holiday will have a higher usage and will be the one generating offense with Evans. Either way, win-win for those who play Holiday.
Also Consider: Elfrid Payton - PG, @ UTA ($4,800)
FanDuel DFS Forwards
Taj Gibson - PF, vs NOP ($4,800)
Jimmy Butler is still listed as questionable, making me comfortable adding Gibson into my lineup. Gibson is the team's top role player. He rebounds, hits his mid-range jumper more often than not and is a defensive workhorse. He is going to get plenty of minutes that is for sure, but if those minutes are spent guarding Anthony Davis, this could be a rough night for Gibson. Even if he has his hands full defensively, Gibson is an experienced player that will still be able to generate offense through his jump shot and ability to rebound over bigger defenders. Gibson and other big-man Robin Lopez are going to run the paint at home.
LaMarcus Aldridge - PF, @ PHO ($7,300)
The Suns are just one of those teams that are perfect to pick on...or pick against, you know what I mean. Anyway, they are skilled enough to stay in close games and have a high tempo pace that forces other teams to play up to their speed. Against the Spurs, expect this not to be the case. LaMarcus Aldridge will be a focal point for this offense, once again, and coach Gregg Poppovich will slow this game down and bury Phoenix in mid-range jumpers from both Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard. There is no one on the Phoenix squad that can hold both Pau Gasol in the paint, and Aldridge on the wing while the two share the court. I don't expect the Suns to let Pau Gasol run the paint against them, leaving Aldridge as the best option for the Spurs offense tonight.
Also Consider: Otto Porter - SF, vs PHI ($6,200)
FanDuel DFS Centers
Robin Lopez - C, vs ATL ($4,100)
Robin Lopez baffles me every night I watch him play. First of all, the Knicks seriously downgraded when they traded Lopez for Joakim Noah, sorry I had to get it off my chest. Anyway, Lopez is a great defensive presence that has great touch with the ball, for how rough his style of play is. His hook is just phenomenal and he has expanded his range to just inside the top of the key. The Pelicans have lacked defense all season and Lopez will be raining smooth hook shots, all game long.
Also Consider: Tyson Chandler - C, vs MIA ($5,400)
