In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/1/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on FanDuel. Let's get rolling.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kyle Lowry - PG, at LAL ($9,100) 

Kyle Lowry is one of the better point guard options in the league, and when constructing a 50/50 contest lineup, he should be the first player rostered, followed shortly after by his teammate DeMar DeRozan. The duo in Toronto consistently hit values. In his last five games, Lowry has over 40 fantasy points in four games and over 50 fantasy points once. He has great upside, especially tonight against the Lakers, and he is very likely not going to flop. Use Lowry in all formats.

DeMar DeRozan - SG, at LAL ($8,800)

Speaking of DeMar DeRozan, here he is. The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the worst defensive teams in the league, and DeRozan should have little issue scoring early and often. His price tag is a little bit lower than that of Kyle Lowry, but he is expected to be used with Lowry anyway. In his last three games, he has at least 45 fantasy points in two of them. While not as consistent as Lowry, he does have more upside. Against the Golden State Warriors, he posted 52 fantasy points in 39 minutes. DeRozan is an elite-level scorer. Roster him and watch him go to work in 2017.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

LaMarcus Aldridge - PF, at ATL ($7,000)

LaMarcus Aldridge looked horrendous in his last game, which was against the Portland Trailblazers. He posted under 20 fantasy points in 29 minutes on the court. In his prior three games, he posted over 40 fantasy points in all of them. Kawhi Leonard will likely return tonight, but if he does, Aldridge should continue to be the star of the show. Even if Leonard comes back, Aldridge will see enough fantasy relevant opportunties to hit value, at the very least. His price tag is discounted right now, so take advantage of that.

Julius Randle - PF, vs TOR ($6,500)

Julius Randle is a very high-upside power forward option tonight against the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors are not horrible defensively, but Randle can score and rebound against anyone. In his last three games, he has over 35 fantasy points in two of them and over 40 fantasy points in one. His price tag is very reasonable, but he does struggle to produce from time to time. For example, in his last game, he posted under 25 fantasy points in 28 minutes. That is not going to cut it at $6,500. He should be able to rebound tonight, but just to be safe, use him in tournament lineups only.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns - C, vs POR ($9,100)

Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the best centers in the league right now. The Portland Trailblazers love to push the pace of games, and due to that increase in speed (even for the Minnesota Timberwolves), Karl-Anthony Towns is going to have an above-average performance. This is a great game to target, as the over/under is likely set around 5,000. Towns has over 40 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. He is great for 50/50 lineups and tournament lineups. FanDuel only allows for one center, so ignore that man listed below - Towns is it.
