Ladies (one or two reading this) and gentlemen, here is your late game Daily Fantasy Baseball lineup advice for the late games on April 17th, 2013:
How did we do Tuesday?
It was nice to have a bounce-back performance after a rough day on Monday. Our primary lineup finished 3rd out of 20 to double up in the Fanduel league we entered. Tonight, we will be entering a similar 20 team 50/50 league.
Humpday Play of the Day: Joe Mauer ($3,800) - It's simple. He has eight hits over his last two games and faces Tommy Hanson tonight. Don't get fancy, start the man!
Wednesday's Must Sit: The entire San Diego Padres team, especially Evereth Cabrera - Nobody should be starting a Padre tonight against Kershaw. It is a waste of a roster spot. If you can make a lineup work, try to get Kershaw into your lineup.
RotoCole's Primary Fanduel Lineup:
P: Shelby Miller ($6,400) - Miller has been an absolute stud at the major league level. I am buying him on all daily fantasy sites tonight as my starter.
C: Joe Mauer ($3,800) - Mauer has been hotter than Susan Sarandon in SNL's "Motherlover," and he should stay hot against Tommy "Mr. Inconsistent" Hanson.
1B: Ryan Howard ($3,300) - The "Big Piece" is cold right now, but Mike Leake is entering the equation at the perfect time. He is just 4-17 with a home run in his career against Leake but tonight just feels like his bust-out night.
2B: Chase Utley ($4,300) - I featured Utley a couple days ago as my starting second baseman. Then he decided to take the day off. So I replaced him. He ended up with a pinch hit two-run home run that had me pretty upset. Tonight, I won't make that mistake. He will be employed against Leake in most of my lineups.
3B: Adrian Beltre ($3,700) - Went 2-4 with a home run yesterday and is 3-6 in his career against Cubs starter Carlos Villanueva. This also might be as low as Beltre is priced all season long.
SS: J.J. Hardy ($3,000) - Hardy is just 3-12 against Matt Moore in his career but one of those cleared the fence and I like him at home tonight.
OF: Dominic Brown ($3,100) - Hits Leake well and should compliment the rest of my Phillies players well.
OF: Ben Revere ($3,000) - Revere is a good candidate tonight for a couple hits, runs and maybe even a stolen base.
OF: Adam Jones ($4,400) - Even after cooling off a little bit, Jones is still batting .400. He is 4-10 in his career against Moore. He is my favorite play tonight among the "elite" outfielders.
PLEASE NOTE: I am featuring quite a few Phillies players in my lineup and their game may get postponed due to inclement weather. If you won't be able to make any late adjustments I would advise you to avoid players from Philly and Cincy. However, if the game is played this lineup should be phenomenal for you.
