NHL DFS Picks for Thursday, December 3rd
Thursday night in the NHL has 8 games on the schedule with the Rangers and Leafs playing on back to back nights. The Avalanche(road), Rangers(home), Leafs(road), and Canucks(home) are all playing their 3rd games in 4 nights. There looks to be a nice mix of starting goalies and backups going Thursday leaving us plenty of ways to build a lineup. Generally in cash games we will want to choose the goalie in the best situation(home ice, favorite, nice matchup). Lets have a look at some core plays for tonight.
Pekka Rinne - Goaltender, Predators (DraftKings - $7,800 FanDuel - $8,700)
After a poor stretch, Rinne has seen high salary drop by $300 making it a great time to jump back on board. He picked up a win last game vs. the Coyotes after the Preds only allowed 15 shots on Rinne the entire game. He is 11-5-4 on the season and is an elite option between the pipes. He will look to build on that recent win tonight against the Panthers as the Preds are at home as -170 favorites.
Tyler Seguin - Center, Stars (DraftKings - $8,800 FanDuel - $8,800)
His price has also started to go down after reaching the $9K mark last week. The production remains for Seguin on the leagues #1 offense as he has recorded 34 points on the season. He is averaging an insane 24.2 shot attempts per 60 minutes of ice time which makes him a safe choice for fantasy points every game.
Mike Hoffman - Winger, Senators (DraftKings - $5,500 FanDuel - $6,300)
Has been one of the offensive stars on the Sens this year with 22 points overall and has recorded 13 of those in the last 10 games. He provides a high floor with the high amount of shot attempts(20.0/60) and has multi point upside, perfect for larger field tournaments.
Filip Forsberg - Winger, Predators (DraftKings - $5,600 FanDuel - $7,800)
A great time to jump on the Forsberg train as his price is down and production is up. He has recorded five points in his last three games and is taking a ton of shots in the process. He now has 16 points on the year with 68 shots on goal and a +3 rating. He has also picked up 15 blocked shots which is rare from a forward.
Duncan Keith - Defense, Blackhawks (DraftKings - $5,200 FanDuel - $6,400)
Since returning from injury has put up points in seven of his nine games. He is the #1 offensive option on the Hawks point and he also adds close to two blocks per game. Get him in your lineups before the price reaches the $6K level and beyond.
