- "Shots attempted per 60 minutes" reflects a players shots on net + shots that missed net + shots that were blocked. It's a key stat to show how much a player possesses the puck generally, and is a predictive indicator for the number of shots a player will get on net.
- "Points per 60 minutes" reflects a players point production per 60 minutes of ice time. This is a great indicator of how productive a player is in their ice time. If a player has a high Points/60, and they get moved up to a top line, they'll represent a key sleeper play in the we

NHL DFS Picks for for Thursday, November 12th
We are back for another large slate of 12 games in the NHL on Thursday night. Only the Edmonton Oilers are playing in back to back games and the Arizona Coyotes are playing in their third game in four nights. Lets take a look at a few core plays for Thursday night for your cash games on Thursday night.
Braden Holtby - Goaltender, Capitlas (DraftKings - $8,000 FanDuel - $9,500)
The Caps are favorites on the road vs. the Flyers who are struggling to score goals(1.8 per game) and sit 29th in the league in offense. Holtby has been great to start the year with a .920 save percentage and has 8 wins to show for it. He is in a great spot Thursday to pick up a win on the road.
Jeff Carter - Center, Kings (DraftKings - $6,000 FanDuel - $8,000)
He is a point per game player this year and is averaging 17.5 shot attempts per 60 minutes. Makes a great stacking option with Tyler Toffoli and even Milan Lucic who will be the low owned member of that line combination. The Kings are in a nice spot on Thursday at home vs. the Islanders.
James Neal - Winger, Predators (DraftKings - $6,300 FanDuel - $6,400)
Great cash game play with a high floor. He is averaging 23.3 shot attempts per 60 minutes of ice time which is 4th in the NHL. The Preds are at home on Thursday vs. the Leafs who are ranked 25th in goals allowed per game.
Daniel Sedin - Winger, Canucks (DraftKings - $6,500 FanDuel - $7,500)
He was a recommendation on Tuesday and he put up a goal and three assists. While a similar result is unlikely, he should be able to provide upside in a matchup vs. the Senators who are ranked 26th in goals allowed on a per game basis.
Tyson Barrie - Defense, Avalanche (DraftKings - $4,800 FanDuel - $5,300)
Comes into this game with points in four of his last five games with multi point efforts in two of those games. He doesn't provide the floor other D men offer as his block totals are very low. On the flip side he does provide upside with his multi point offensive ability and is in a nice matchup vs. the Bruins who only have one win at home this year.
