- "Shots attempted per 60 minutes" reflects a players shots on net + shots that missed net + shots that were blocked. It's a key stat to show how much a player possesses the puck generally, and is a predictive indicator for the number of shots a player will get on net.
- "Points per 60 minutes" reflects a players point production per 60 minutes of ice time. This is a great indicator of how productive a player is in their ice time. If a player has a high Points/60, and they get moved up to a top line, they'll represent a key sleeper play in the we

NHL DFS Picks for for Saturday, November 7th
Saturday night in the NHL brings us nine games to sort through and find our fantasy players. There are five teams(ANH, CAR, NYR, PIT, TOR) playing in back to back games and three teams(PIT, TOR, FLA) who are playing a third game in four nights. There is definitely some opportunity to target some offensive players against some of these tired teams. Let's take a closer look in to the action and pick out some core plays.
Braden Holtby - Goaltender, Capitals (DraftKings - $7,900 FanDuel - $9,400)
The Capitals are at home on Saturday as favorites vs. the Leafs who are only scoring just above 2 goals per game and are playing in back to back games. Washington has been a top team in the Eastern Conference with a +11 goal differential and in a great spot for a win on Saturday.
Joe Pavelski - Center, Sharks (DraftKings - $7,500 FanDuel - $8,300)
He add an assist last game moving his point streak up to seven games. He hasn't scored less than 2 DK points in any game and hasn't recorded a negative FanDuel performance. The Sharks are favorites at home vs. their division rivals the Ducks and are in a good spot to score some goals Saturday.
Alex Ovechkin - Winger, Capitals (DraftKings - $9,400 FanDuel - $10,100)
Most expensive option in daily fantasy hockey but still makes a great GPP play as he has the highest upside in the league. He has 14 points in 11 games to start the year and a surprising +8 rating. He has taken 54 shots and leads the league in shot attempts per 60 minutes. He could be in for another big game Saturday at home vs. the Leafs who are struggling defensively.
Mats Zuccarello - Winger, Rangers (DraftKings - $5,200 FanDuel - $5,600)
He is riding a three game point streak and has 10 on the year to go with a +4 rating and 26 shots on net. He makes a nice GPP line stacking option with Rick Nash and Derick Brassard.
Dustin Byfuglien - Defense, Jets (DraftKings - $5,900 FanDuel - $7,400)
He is a better play on DraftKings where his price is still depressed compared to other top options on the point but also makes a nice play on FanDuel. His floor is sky high on both sites as he takes a ton of shots, blocks some shots, gets top PP time, and also adds penalty minutes and +/- to his resume. Safe in all formats.
