NHL Daily League Lineup Picks for Saturday, February 11
For those that are new to this, each day we'll be providing you with a few of our top DFS lineup picks for daily league cash games on FanDuel and DraftKings. We will also provide you with one of our favorite teams to stack for GPPs. You can grab the rest of our Premium DFS lineup picks and stacks through the NHL Cheat Sheet and DFS Premium Pass below.
Nazem Kadri (C, TOR)
DraftKings - $5,900, FanDuel - $6,800
The Leafs have been struggling but Kadri has stayed red hot with points in four straight and 15 of his last 17 games. He centers the second line with Leo Komarov and William Nylander and also gets over two minutes a game on the powerplay. He is safe in all formats.
Marcus Johansson (W, WSH)
DraftKings - $4,600, FanDuel - $4,800
He broke out of his slump in a big way this week with three consecutive multi-point games. He is now sitting at 38 points for the season, just two shy of exceeding the 40 point barrier for the fifth time in his career. He skates on the second line with Evgeny Kuznetsov and also on the top powerplay unit with Alex Ovechkin.
Brady Skjei (D, NYR)
DraftKings - $3,500, FanDuel - $3,900
There are a ton of young value defensemen right now and Brady Skjei is right at the top of the list for tonight. He comes with a very affordable sub $4K price tag but has been playing more like a $5K player. Over the last 10 games, he has tallied seven points and showed last game he doesn't need offense to hit value as he recorded a block and three shots for 2.0 DK/6.4 FD points. That is a nice floor for the price and the upside is there against the Avs who rank dead last in defense.
Stacking Option
Pittsburgh Penguins - Sidney Crosby, Chris Kunitz, Patric Hornqvist(PP), Phil Kessel(PP)
The loss of Evgeni Malkin back on January 24th has not stopped the Pens offense as they have scored 21 goals over the last six games without him. Center the stack around Crosby and Kunitz who skate on the top line. Kunitz provides an excellent bit of salary relief that can be used for adding Kessel or Hornqvist or both to a high upside powerplay stack.

Bonus: General NHL DFS Strategy Notes
For cash games, look at players who can contribute to your score even when they are not providing offense. Some examples are guys who take a ton of shots and defensemen who block a lot of shots. Also, look for guys who get power play time. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury, or just get a promotion and more ice time. It is also recommended to spread out your exposure to three or four different lines, and not put all your eggs in one basket.
For large field tournaments (GPPs), find payers who have multi-point upside and can grab double-digit fantasy points. If you want to stack the most upside in your forwards, a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone - try and look for a defenseman who will get power play time, or a playing time boost due to an injury. For a contrarian approach, paying up at the defense position can be a great strategy - but it also comes with more risk. GPPs bring a great opportunity for goaltenders in the value price range - you can look for backups on good teams.
