Nicklas Backstrom (C, WSH)
DraftKings - $6,900, FanDuel - $7,100, FantasyAces - $5,350
While his teammate Evgeny Kuznetsov makes the better choice for cash games at a lower price, Backstrom has been red hot and can't be faded right now. With an assist last night, he now has a 10 game point streak and a whopping 17 points over his last 10 games.
Conor Sheary (W, PIT)
DraftKings - $5,800, FanDuel - $6,100, FantasyAces - $5,000
If you are looking for a player who is safe in all formats look no further than Mr. Sheary. He has been arguably one of the hottest players in the league with nine goals and five assists over the last 10 games, all coming in 5on5 situations. Further, he has also provided a stable ,safe floor with 27 shots on goal in those games.
Marc-Edouard Vlasic (D, SJ)
DraftKings - $4,000, FanDuel - $4,800, FantasyAces - $4,600
With two more assists last night, Vlasic now has seven assists in his last 10 games. That is not the main reason he shows up today. It's the safety for cash games he has been providing at a sub $5K price tag. In those 1o games, he has also added 25 blocks and 16 shots and also plays on the teams powerplay unit.
Stacking Option
Minnesota Wild - Jason Zucker, Mikael Granlund, Jordan Schroeder
With Mikko Koivu out we seen Jordan Schroeder step up and center the second line against the Preds. He picked up an assist in that game as Zucker and Granlund stayed hot. Schroeder comes at near minimum price and keeps the line stack very affordable with big upside in a matchup vs. the Stars and their 28thranked defense.

Bonus: General NHL DFS Strategy Notes
For cash games, look at players who can contribute to your score even when they are not providing offense. Some examples are guys who take a ton of shots and defensemen who block a lot of shots. Also, look for guys who get power play time. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury, or just get a promotion and more ice time. It is also recommended to spread out your exposure to three or four different lines, and not put all your eggs in one basket.
For large field tournaments (GPPs), find payers who have multi-point upside and can grab double-digit fantasy points. If you want to stack the most upside in your forwards, a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone - try and look for a defenseman who will get power play time, or a playing time boost due to an injury. For a contrarian approach, paying up at the defense position can be a great strategy - but it also comes with more risk. GPPs bring a great opportunity for goaltenders in the value price range - you can look for backups on good teams.
