RotoBallers, welcome back to our daily fantasy hockey (NHL DFS) lineup picks for FanDuel, DraftKings and FantasyAces. Below you will find our NHL cheat sheet - DFS lineup picks, sleepers and stacks for Tuesday, November 15 of the 2016/2017 NHL season.
After a slow one game slate on Monday the NHL schedule is loaded tonight with 13 games on the main slate. There is no shortage of high end goalies(Price, Lundqvist, Holtby) but with the amount of value plays it is no problem rostering one of them in all formats.
For those that are new to this, each day we'll be providing you with a few of our top DFS lineup picks for daily league cash games on FanDuel, DraftKings, and FantasyAces. We will also provide you with one of our favorite teams to stack for GPPs. You can grab the rest of our Premium DFS lineup picks and stacks through the NHL Cheat Sheet and DFS Premium Pass below.

NHL Daily League Lineup Picks for Tuesday, November 15
Connor McDavid (C, EDM)
DraftKings - $8,000, FanDuel - $7,900, FantasyAces - $5,800
Even with points in four straight and five of his last six games, McDavid's salary continues to drop. He is more of a GPP play than a cash play as he doesn't attempt a lot of shots but has multi point upside and is getting heavy usage. HE should see some extra opportunities on the powerplay tonight as the Ducks take the most penalties per game of any team in the league.
Wayne Simmonds (W, PHI)
DraftKings - $6,300, FanDuel - $7,200, FantasyAces - $5,400
His best value is by far on DraftKings tonight where he comes at low $6K salary. Simmonds has been tearing it up this season with 15 points through 16 games playing alongside Giroux. The two are a lethal combination on the powerplay and have propelled the Flyers to a #2 rank in the category. Ottawa has been tough defensively this season but the price and opportunity can't be ignored.
Damon Severson (D, NJ)
DraftKings - $4,600, FanDuel - $4,400, FantasyAces - $4,900
In his third season in the NHL Severson is quickly coming into is own sitting second on the Devils in scoring. His role has expanded with Adam Larsson out of town and he is getting heavy usage on the powerplay leading to a ton more offensive opportunities. At a mid $4K price tag on all sites he is safe in all formats.
Stacking Option
Ottawa Senators - Bobby Ryan, Mike Hoffman, Derick Brassard
The Senators are another team that is shaking their lines up in an effort to kick start some sort of offense. Coming into tonight the Sens rank 27th in the league scoring just 2.2 goals per game. All three players have struggled, as expected with a 27th rank, but could create a spark tonight when they get a boost playing the Flyers and their 29th ranked defense. I will continue to target the Flyers defense until they can prove they can stop someone. This stack is only safe in GPP formats.

Bonus: General NHL DFS Strategy Notes
For cash games, look at players who can contribute to your score even when they are not providing offense. Some examples are guys who take a ton of shots and defensemen who block a lot of shots. Also, look for guys who get power play time. You can find value in players who join a new line due to an injury, or just get a promotion and more ice time. It is also recommended to spread out your exposure to three or four different lines, and not put all your eggs in one basket.
For large field tournaments (GPPs), find payers who have multi-point upside and can grab double-digit fantasy points. If you want to stack the most upside in your forwards, a common strategy is to punt the defense position. This doesn't mean just grab anyone - try and look for a defenseman who will get power play time, or a playing time boost due to an injury. For a contrarian approach, paying up at the defense position can be a great strategy - but it also comes with more risk. GPPs bring a great opportunity for goaltenders in the value price range - you can look for backups on good teams.
