Going into Week 8 of college football, the conversation is now mostly geared towards conference championship prospects and potential Heisman candidates. With 12 weeks in the season, every match-up and injury is a game-changer. The true advantage of utilizing DFS contests comes to light around this time of year, when a fantasy owner's season-long league is now comprised of weathered line-ups.
While last seasons' draft class had a limited number of running backs that were poised for success in the NFL, it seems the FBS is simply crawling with backs that pack talent, speed and all the game-changing ability in the world this season. As a result, there is no shortage of RB sleepers.
We're also seeing more teams using spread, now more than ever. In a spread offense, in which there is no playbook and the idea is to run and shoot, and thereby run up the score, there are quarterbacks putting up more fantasy points than our selected wide receivers combined. Draft accordingly.

Daily Fantasy College Football Lineup Picks for 10/31
Ole Miss Rebels (6-2) @Auburn Tigers (4-3)
Auburn's most interesting statistics are not indicators of a good season, and you'd be wary of any team that hasn't thrown a touchdown pass in four games. In this SEC West showdown, it's easy to concede that Ole Miss, who has only lost to Memphis and Arkansas, will be taking down the tigers. Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly ($7,400, 26.5 FPPG) is earning his keep week after week, and if he can stop throwing interceptions, our bank accounts will be booming.
Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-5) @Purdue Boilermakers (1-6)
Nebraska is poised to dominate in this match-up. We can also expect to see thriving performances from WR Jordan Westerkamp ($4,500, 15.7 FPPG) and RB Terrell Newby ($5,200, 16.5 FPPG). Despite the return of QB Austin Appleby, ($4,300, 19.7 FPPG), it's unlikely Purdue will impress, but the performance of individual players on a fantasy team does not always correlate to a win or loss.
Syracuse Orange (3-4) @Florida State Seminoles (6-1)
With Florida States' ability to stop a run game, you can bet that Syracuse WR Steve Ishmael ($4,200, 12.7 FPPG) is going to be stepping up to the plate in Tallahassee. Seminoles RB Dalvin Cook ($9,100, 31.5 FPPG) will be out Saturday, making Ishmael the lone player worth noting for DFS in this matchup.
South Carolina Gamecocks (3-4) @Texas A&M Aggies (5-2)
South Carolina shows plenty of preserverence, but sometimes, that's simply not enough. Texas A&M's WR Josh Reynolds ($4,400, 13.7 FPPG) and RB Tra Carson ($4,500, 17.6 FPPG) will be doing plenty of damage at home, and will look pretty up against SC's spotty defense. Consider the Aggies' opponent instead of their previous performances.
Colorado Buffaloes (4-4) @UCLA Bruins (5-2)
Colorado already has double the amount of wins they did last season, but they're still no match for the Bruins, despite all the injuries in their offense and the holes in their defense. With RB Paul Perkins' injury, you'll want to count on WR Jordan Payton ($5,800, 16.9 FPPG) to pick up all the slack, especially at home... and especially against Colorado. This is a match-up where size-mismatch can be devastating.
Tulsa Golden Hurricanes (3-4) @SMU Mustangs (1-6)
SMU doesn't throw in the towel easy, but despite their best efforts, there are too many weaknesses plaguing their offense. Tulsa, on the other hand, who has inherited Baylor's offensive coordinator Phillip Montgomery as a head coach, has seen notable improvements and as a result, will easily defeat SMU at their house this weekend. WR Joshua Atkinson ($6,300, 23.4 FPPG) will be tough to block and harder to stop.
