Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to make up for a lackluster start by Andrew Heaney in his Yankees debut last night, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.
It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.
We have eight pitchers going that are rostered in more than 90% of ESPN leagues. Six more are owned in more than half of leagues. That leaves us with about half of the pitchers going today to choose from, many of them former All-Stars. Do any of them make the cut? We'll check that after we take a look at the hitters.

Hitter Streamers for 8/3 - Shallow Leagues
Kolten Wong (2B, LHB, MIL) - 48.6% Rostered
Matchup: vs. PIT RHP Max Kranick
Wong has at least one hit in all but one of his 13 games since the break. He is hitting .323 in that span with a homer, six RBI, and 11 runs scored batting leadoff for Milwaukee with a pair of steals. Wong hit .350 in June before landing on the IL and didn't miss a beat when he came back. Wong hit .315 in July, but he has yet to rediscover his June power surge. It you need runs or average though, Wong is your man. Besides, he faced Max Kranick last week and picked up a hit and a RBI. He should be good for a couple of counting stats tonight.
Cesar Hernandez (2B, RHB, CWS) - 46.1% Rostered
Matchup: vs. KC LHP Kris Bubic
Hernandez got to face his former team immediately after being traded and picked up five hits against them in 13 tries. The bad news is that he only had one run to show for it. Bubic has pitched better of late, but he still pitches to contact, something that Hernandez excels at. I would say that Hernandez has the best chance of any of the White Sox to get to Bubic tonight.
Patrick Wisdom (1B/3B, RHB, CHC) - 32.8% Rostered
Matchup: at COL LHP Kyle Freeland
The cupboards are now bare in Wrigleyville, which means Wisdom goes from a fringe player in the Cubs lineup to an everyday player that occupies a slot in the middle of the order. Wisdom responded with a six-game hitting streak in which he is hitting .381 with a pair of homers, four RBI, and five runs scored. That streak ended on Sunday, but he's rewarded with a road trip to Coors Field where he should get drunk with power.
Kyle Farmer (2B/SS/3B, RHB, CIN) - 31.2% Rostered
Matchup: vs. MIN RHP Kenta Maeda
Few players on any team worldwide are hitting like Farmer is right now. Farmer is hitting a blistering .484 in his current ten-game hitting streak with three homers, six RBI, and 11 runs scored in that span. The Reds have moved him right in front of Joey Votto, who homered in seven straight before the weekend. You can bet Farmer is going to keep getting a ton of pitches to hit in front of Votto as long as he stays hot.
Hitter Streamers for 8/3 - Deeper Leagues
Max Stassi (C, RHB, LAA) - 18.2% Rostered
Matchup: at TEX RHP Jordan Lyles
Stassi comes in riding a seven-game hitting streak in which he is hitting .423 with three homers, seven RBI, and three runs scored. So what if no one else is driving him in? Catcher is still a hard position to fill in nearly every fantasy league. Trade in a cooling Daulton Varsho for Stassi if you are streaming catchers.
Abraham Toro (3B, LHB, SEA) - 16.8% Rostered
Matchup: at TB RHP Luis Patino
Yesterday was the first time that Toro went hitless as a Mariner, but he still got on base twice and scored a run. We can work with that. Toro is hitting .429 as a Mariner with two homers, four RBI, a steal, and six runs scored in six games. He is thriving in Seattle right now. Ride him until he cools off.
Rowdy Tellez (1B, LHB, MIL) - 13.2% Rostered
Matchup: vs. PIT RHP Max Kranick
One of the most impactful trade deadline deals may also be one of the first. The Brewers sent Bowden Francis and Trevor Richards to the Blue Jays for Rowdy back on July 6. In 18 games with his new team, Rowdy is hitting .323 with four homers, nine runs scored, and 12 RBI. He has also walked seven times while only walking nine times in 50 games with Toronto. All four of those homers are since July 24 with 10 of those 12 RBI coming in that span as well.
Rafael Ortega (OF, LHB, CHC) - 9.8% Rostered
Matchup: at COL LHP Kyle Freeland
Ortega has inherited the leadoff job from the departed Joc Pederson and run with it. Ortega has four homers in his last two games with seven RBI and five runs scored. And that's before a trip to Coors Field. We have a guy entering Coors on a blistering hot streak. This ought to be fun! At least for the 90% of us that can get Ortega for free!
Pitcher Streamers for 8/3 - Shallow Leagues
Johnny Cueto (RHP, SF) - 39.3% rostered
Matchup: at Arizona
The Diamondbacks were one of the few teams that didn't do much at the deadline. They shipped off Eduardo Escobar, which helps us if we plan on running Cueto tonight. In three starts since the All-Star break, Cueto has allowed four runs over 15.2 innings with 17 strikeouts. Those aren't great numbers, but they are very good considering Cueto got rocked in his first two starts of the month. The uptick in strikeouts is what has me intrigued since Arizona is a free-swinging team anyway. Cueto has solid potential and is unlikely to hurt your ratios tonight.
Madison Bumgarner (LHP, ARI) - 26.5% rostered
Matchup: vs. San Francisco
We all saw how poorly MadBum started the season, but he has also had a rebirth since the break. MadBum has only allowed four runs in 18 innings over three starts since the break. The bad news is that he only has 11 strikeouts in those 18 innings. He will help the ratios now, and he has the revenge thing going for him if you want to play that narrative. The Giants did get a little better at the break, but not enough to scare me off.
Pitcher Streamers for 8/3 - Deeper Leagues
Adrian Houser (RHP, MIL) -12.9% rostered
Matchup: vs. Pittsburgh
Houser threw just 70 pitches against Pittsburgh last week, but he hung around long enough to get the win. It seems like the Brewers are limiting the innings for Houser, which is why many have jumped off of him. I still expect Houser to go long enough to pick up the win and help our ratios, but Pittsburgh doesn't strike out enough for you to reach for Houser in more shallow leagues.
Kyle Freeland (LHP, COL) -6.4% rostered
Matchup: vs. Cubs
Hey, don't laugh. Freeland has only allowed five runs in 19 innings in his three starts since the break. Before you go punching holes in that, two of those starts were against the Dodgers and the other was against the Padres. Those are three good offenses. Tonight he gets the corpse of the Cubs in Coors. The knock on Freeland is that he doesn't get enough strikeouts to help you if he gets knocked around, but Coors or not, this Cubs lineup is dwarfed by some AAA squads. Freeland looks like a solid streamer tonight.
