It's time for another day of the stream machine! Today's feature is a Marlins' stack against lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu and the Toronto Blue Jays. The Marlins have posted a .346 wOBA (8th in MLB) against southpaws and have an exploitable matchup against Ryu. Let's get it!
When choosing my daily hitter streamers, I examine their platoon splits, lineup position, and pitching matchup. With pitchers, I account for the opposing lineup, team ballpark, and recent performance to help make my decision. You can even use these picks for your DFS lineups!
Each of my streamers will be rostered in between 0-40% of Yahoo leagues, with a mixed focus on both shallow and deeper formats. Today, I will be providing a streamer for each position, including two starting pitchers. Let’s take a look at the Monday slate and dig out some streamer gems to help you start off the week with a bang!

Hitter Streamers for 8/11 - Infielders
James McCann (C, CHW, RHB) - 16% Rostered
Matchup: vs. DET LHP Tyler Alexander
McCann has gotten off to a good start this season, slashing .345/.387/.655 with three home runs. Last season, McCann posted a .366 wOBA against lefties, so he's in a solid spot here against Alexander, who struck out 10 in 3.2 innings in his last relief appearance, but is unlikely to go deep into the game.
Jesus Aguilar (1B, MIA, RHB) - 13% Rostered
Matchup: vs. TOR LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu
Aguilar has been mashing this season, slashing .306/.341/.694 with four home runs in only 41 plate appearances. He's currently in the 97th-percentile in xSLG and 92nd-percentile in xwOBA, so this is a hitter who is generating hard contact. Ride the hot streak here!
Niko Goodrum (1B/2B/SS/OF, DET, SHB) - 16% Rostered
Matchup: vs. CHW LHP Gio Gonzalez
We're going back to the well by playing Goodrum against another lefty, this time it's Gio Gonzalez, who has struggled with control, walking six batters in his last eight innings. Goodrum is coming off a 4-4 game, where he homered and scored twice. He crushes lefties, so we'll ride the wave once again.
Austin Riley (3B/OF, ATL, RHB) - 18% Rostered
Matchup: vs. NYY LHP Jordan Montgomery
Riley has really struggled this season, slashing .167/.234/.405, but he's hit safely in his last two games and homered last night. He has done well against southpaws, posting a .382 against them last year. Montgomery is one of our pitcher streamers today, but we like Riley's chances at Yankee Stadium.
Jon Berti (3B/SS/OF, MIA, RHB) - 12% Rostered
Matchup: vs. TOR LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu
Berti has slotted into the two-hole in this Marlins' lineup, so he makes for a nice pairing with Aguilar in this one. He's shown off his wheels so far this year, with two stolen bases in only 34 plate appearances. He also hits lefties well, slashing .269/.345/.538 against them last season.
Hitter Streamers for 8/11 - Outfielders
Brian Anderson (3B/OF, MIA, RHB) - 28% Rostered
Matchup: vs. TOR LHP Hyun-Jin Ryu
Anderson completes our Marlins' stack against Ryu. He's gotten off to a good start this season, slashing .303/.410/.545 with two home runs in 39 plate appearances. Anderson has established himself as one of the more underrated hitters in baseball who deserves to be rostered in more leagues.
Mike Tauchman (OF, NYY, LHB) - 9% Rostered
Matchup: vs. ATL RHP Touki Toussaint
Tauchman is thrust into opportunity with the injury to Giancarlo Stanton. He has hit safely in five of his last six games, including one stolen base. He slashed .357/.446/.529 against righties last year and has an exploitable matchup against Toussaint at home.
Domingo Santana (OF, CLE, RHB) - 5% Rostered
Matchup: vs. CHC LHP Jon Lester
Santana is only slashing .188/.366/.313, but he has seen the ball well, walking eight times with 11 strikeouts. Lester has gotten off to a good start, but I'm not buying it as there's no increase in velocity or change in pitch mix. The Indians should be able to get to Lester, so opportunities abound for Santana tomorrow.
Pitcher Streamers for 8/11
Jordan Montgomery (LHP, NYY) vs. ATL - 22% Rostered
Montgomery goes up against a Braves' lineup that has posted a .247 wOBA against lefties, which ranks 28th in MLB. He's coming off a poor start against the Phillies, but he's seen a slight uptick in velocity. This is one of the better options on a weak slate for pitcher streamers.
Elieser Hernandez (RHP, MIA) @ TOR - 4% Rostered
Hernandez looked fantastic in his debut, pitching 4.1 shutout innings, allowing two hits, while walking one and striking out five. He was limited to 66 pitches in that start, so we can reasonably project him to be bumped to 80-85 pitches in this one. The Blue Jays' lineup has struggled so far this season - .298 wOBA against righties - so we'll roll with Hernandez.
