Happy Wednesday, everybody! We sit smack dab in the middle of the week with plenty of time to blow by our competition or play catchup on the week. I can't think of any better way than finding the perfect streaming option.
When choosing my daily hitter streamers, I examine their platoon splits, lineup position, and pitching matchup. With pitchers, I account for the opposing lineup, team ballpark, and recent performance to help make my decision.
Each of my streamers will be rostered in between 0-40% of Yahoo leagues, with a mixed focus on both shallow and deeper formats. Today, I will be providing a streamer for each position, including two starting pitchers. Let’s take a look at the Wednesday slate and dig out some streamer gems to help you create the week with a bang!

Hitter Streamers for 8/26 - Infielders
Yandy Diaz (1B/3B, TAM, RHB) - 32% Rostered
Matchup: vs. BAL RHP Asher Wojciechowski
Yandy Diaz is an excellent streamer for AVG leagues and even better in OBP. He has walked more times than he has struck out and boasts a .426 OBP. Yandy is on a hot streak, as he has eight hits in his last 23 at-bats with two home runs. Diaz bats in the top third of the batting order for the Tampa Bay Rays, who have scored the fourth-most runs in the MLB. His multi-eligibility is very helpful, and he can boost your squads AVG and runs nicely.
Brad Miller (2B/3B/OF, STL, LHB) - 16% Rostered
Matchup: vs. KAN RHP Jakob Junis
Brad Miller is having a tremendous start to his 2020 campaign. In only 12 games played, Miller has crushed two home runs with 11 RBI and six runs with a .353 AVG. He is showing excellent plate discipline by walking more times than striking out(8:7 BB/K). He squares off against the struggling Jakob Junis, who is returning for an IL stint and won't go deep in the game. After Junis departs, the Royals bullpen takes the stage. They are very inefficient against left-hand hitters and have a 6.2 K-BB% and .302 wOBA. Miller is a reliable option that can fit into many roster spots.
Willy Adames (SS, TAM, RHB) - 18% Rostered
Matchup: vs. BAL RHP Asher Wojciechowski
Adames at 18% rostered is a must-add player at this point. Adames is batting .293 with three home runs, ten RBI, and 19 runs through 29 games played. He bats cleanup in the very productive Tampa Bay Rays lineup. His statcast numbers back up his hot start with an 81st percentile in exit velocity and 88th percentile in hard hit%. There has been a rash of injuries at shortstop, and Adames can fill the stat sheet.
Jonathan Schoop (2B, DET, RHB) - 18% Rostered
Matchup: vs. CHC LHP Jon Lester
The second base position started the season with a lack of options, and many teams may still be looking for one. Look no further than Jonathan Schoop! Detroit may have a lackluster offensive squad, but Schoop is having a standout season. He has seven home runs with 16 runs and 16 RBI through his first 27 games played. His opposition this evening is Jon Lester, who has seen better days. Lester has a 5.06 ERA and only struck out 17 batters in 26.2 innings pitched.
Jose Trevino (C, TEX, RHB) - 4% Rostered
Matchup: vs. OAK RHP Mike Fiers
Due to scarcity, the most challenging position to stream is catcher. The options are typically limited, and playing time can be a significant concern. The excellent news is Jose Trevino is swinging a hot bat in the absence of Robinson Chirinos and forces his way into the lineup. Trevino has multi-hit games in five of his last six outings and boasts a .342 batting average with a .938 OPS. He looks to continue the early success against Mike Fiers and his 5.81 ERA today. Quick, run to the waiver wire and add Trevino for today before someone else does.
Hitter Streamers for 8/26 - Outfielders
Kole Calhoun (OF, ARI, LHB) - 18% Rostered
Matchup: vs. Jon RHP Jon Gray
Kole Calhoun is bringing the lumber to the yard in 2020. The Arizona outfielder already has eight home runs, 17 runs, and 19 RBI in 103 plate appearances. Calhoun is not your source for batting average as he is only .223 on the season, but if you need counting stats and power, Kole is your man. He bats atop the Diamondbacks offense that is waiting in the weeds to break out this year. His pitching nemesis this evening is Jon Gray, who even if you looked at his road splits away from Coors Field, has a 5.40 ERA and 1.80 WHIP.
Dylan Carlson (OF, STL, SHB) - 29% Rostered
Matchup: vs. KAN RHP Jakob Junis
The Cardinals finally called up the organization's top prospect, Dylan Carlson. In 562 plate appearances in the minors, Carlson put up 26 home runs with 20 stolen bases. Flat out, the 21-year-old outfielder can do it all if given a chance. Dylan is starting to heat up with four hits in his last 11 at-bats and plated his first home run. If you're looking for an outfielder to pick up and potentially stick in your lineup for the rest of the season, Dylan Carlson is a superb option.
Victor Reyes (OF, DET, SHB) - 7% Rostered
Matchup: vs. CHC LHP Jon Lester
In need of some speed? Victor Reyes may be the streaming outfielder for you. The young outfield for the Tigers already has five stolen bases through 27 games. He faces off against Jon Lester today, who has a very unusual quirk to his game that may benefit Reyes. Lester does not throw the ball to first base to hold on runners, ever! If Reyes can find himself on first base, I would fully expect his aggressive running to swipe second base off Lester. And if not, Reyes does have a couple of home runs on the year and 15 runs to help your category needs.
Pitcher Streamers for 8/26
Dakota Hudson (RHP, STL) vs. KAN - 31% Rostered
Hudson is still looking for the elusive first win on the season but has pitched well in three starts. He posts a 3.46 ERA with a 1.08 WHIP through 13 innings pitched. Hudson is enjoying success; however, the team is removing him before the fifth inning. A promising sign that things are heading in the right direction is the pitch count continues to increase. In the limited sample size, Hudson has improved his command and brought his K-BB% to 17.3%. Dakota will be facing the Royals today, who have an 81 wRC+ and .289 wOBA against right-handed pitching. There is not much quality pitching today, but Hudson stands atop the heap.
