It's another manic Monday, so you know what time it is - it's time to dig deep and find some streamers. Today we're going to take advantage of the Rockies in their first road series after a six-game homestand. We'll also take a look at a couple of Dodgers, Diamondbacks, and Blue Jays!
When choosing my daily hitter streamers, I examine their platoon splits, lineup position, and pitching matchup. With pitchers, I account for the opposing lineup, team ballpark, and recent performance to help make my decision.
Each of my streamers will be rostered in between 0-40% of Yahoo leagues, with a mixed focus on both shallow and deeper formats. Today, I will be providing a streamer for each position, including two starting pitchers. Let’s take a look at the Monday slate and dig out some streamer gems to help you start off the week with a bang!

Hitter Streamers for 8/17 - Infielders
Keibert Ruiz (C, LAD, SHB) - 3% Rostered
Matchup: vs. SEA RHP Justin Dunn
Ruiz homered in his first big-league at-bat on Sunday, as he takes over at catcher for the injured Will Smith. He gets a good matchup against Dunn (-3.3 K-BB%) who has struggled with control all year long. Ruiz has prospect pedigree, so he can end up as more than a stream.
Miguel Cabrera (1B, DET, RHB) - 15% Rostered
Matchup: vs. CHW LHP Gio Gonzalez
Cabrera is only slashing .188/.278/.377, but his Statcast numbers are impressive - 95th percentile in exit velocity and 96th percentile in hard-hit percentage. His .279 xBA and .494 xSLG are considerably higher than his actual batting average and slugging percentage. Cabrera has a good matchup against Gio in a hitter's park.
Chris Taylor (2B/SS/OF, LAD, RHB) - 29% Rostered
Matchup: vs. SEA RHP Justin Dunn
Taylor has gone 8-for-23 (.348) with six runs, one RBI, and one stolen base in his past six games. While he hits in the bottom-third of the order, we all know how stacked this lineup is. He's another Dodgers' hitter that is in play due to his matchup against Dunn.
Travis Shaw (3B, TOR, LHB) - 3% Rostered
Matchup: vs. BAL RHP Alex Cobb
Shaw is slowly starting to find his groove, with two multi-hit games in his past five, including a two-home run and three RBI against the Marlins. Cobb has been solid, but he hasn't pitched more than 5.1 innings in any start, so the Jays will have a chance to tee off on the Orioles' bullpen (4.50 team ERA) in the bandbox that is Camden Yards.
Nick Ahmed (SS, ARZ, RHB) - 9% Rostered
Matchup: vs. OAK RHP Chris Bassitt
Ahmed is scorching hot right now, going 11-for-25 (.440) with ten runs, one home run, nine RBI, and two stolen bases in his last seven games. Even though he's consistently slotted at eighth or ninth in the order, we have to ride this streak right now. Bassitt has been solid, but he's pitched 5.2 innings or less in three of his four starts.
Hitter Streamers for 8/17 - Outfielders
Clint Frazier (OF, NYY, RHB) - 30% Rostered
Matchup: vs. BOS LHP Martin Perez
Frazier is tearing the cover off the ball since being recalled, coming into Sunday night on a 7-for-11 (.636) hot streak with three runs, two home runs, and eight RBI in three games. He has the prospect pedigree and the opportunity to thrive with the injuries in this Yankee lineup. Fire him up vs. lefty Perez.
Kole Calhoun (OF, ARZ, LHB) - 17% Rostered
Matchup: vs. OAK RHP Chris Bassitt
Another red-hot D-Back to pair with Ahmed in Calhoun, whose gone 12-for-44 (.273) with ten runs, five home runs, and 15 RBI in his last ten games. Calhoun has consistently slotted in the leadoff or two-hole in this lineup, so he's in a prime position for productive. Let's hope he keeps up this hot streak against Bassitt.
Randal Grichuk (OF, TOR, RHB) - 12% Rostered
Matchup: vs. BAL RHP Alex Cobb
Grichuk is as streaky as they come and it looks like he's starting to get it going. He's gone 8-for-25 (.320) with five runs, two home runs, and three RBI in his last seven games. He hit in the two-hole in his last game, which could stick for the foreseeable future due to the injury to Bo Bichette.
Pitcher Streamers for 8/17
Kwang Hyun Kim (LHP, STL) @ CHC - 33% Rostered
Kim generated some buzz coming into the season because of his dominance in the KBO, but the Cardinals opted to start him out in the bullpen. That plan was scrapped quickly and he's now back in the rotation. Several fantasy players have dropped him, so he's in play as a streamer here. Coming into Sunday, the Cubs had a .319 wOBA (17th) and 27.3 K% (27th) against lefties.
Brandon Bielak (RHP, HOU) vs. COL - 22% Rostered
Bielak has only allowed a combined two earned runs in ten innings in his first two starts. While his strikeout-to-walk leaves much to be desired (five strikeouts, four walks), he has induced groundballs at a high rate of 47.7%. The Rockies tend to go cold immediately following a Coors homestand, so we'll fire up Bielak here.
