DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider
Sonny Gray - P, vs TAM (DK - $9,600, FD - $8,800)
Gray has been on a really strong streak lately, and is in another good spot tonight. Over his last three starts, he has only given up 7 Hits, 4 Walks, and 3 Earned Runs. Really strong numbers from the potential trade target. His name is being thrown around when it comes to trades, so there is a chance he is a late scratch, just keep an eye on twitter before first pitch. Gray is up against the Rays who have a 24% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitching. This game is in Oakland, which is a great pitchers park, this all makes Gray a nice cash game option for tonight.
Gerrit Cole - P, vs MIL (DK - $8,900, FD - $8,500)
Cole is an interesting option for tonight, because he has had some struggles this season, but has shown some nice upside. He has put up seven or more strikeouts in two of his last three games, and is up against the Brewers who have a 25% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers. Cole is at home in a solid pitchers park, and he is a good GPP option for tonight. His lack of consistency makes him tough to roster in cash games.
DFS Infielders to Consider
Catcher (C)
Alex Avila - C, @ KAN (DK - $3,500, FD - $2,600)
Avila seems a bit under priced on FanDuel today and he has a juicy match up. This season vs right-handed pitchers, Avila has a 163 wRC+ and a .255 ISO. Really strong numbers from the man behind the plate, who brings plenty of power upside. He is viable in all formats, and makes a great one off for GPPs, because of the home run potential
First Base (1B)
Josh Bell - 1B, vs MIL (DK - $4,300, FD - $3,300)
Bell can sometimes be over looked at first base since he isn't a household name, but the guy brings plenty of power to your lineup. This season vs right-handed pitching, he has a .341 wOBA and a .234 ISO. Bell isn't in the top 10 for most expensive first basemen on either site, so this is a spot where he could be lowered owned, and still have plenty of upside.
Second Base (2B)
Logan Forsythe - 2B, @ CWS (DK - $3,600, FD - $3,300)
Forsythe doesn't bring a ton of power at the second base spot, but he bats in the middle of the lineup, and gives you some exposure to the hot Dodgers offense. This season vs left-handed pitching, he has a 193 wRC+ and a .217 ISO. Great numbers from the veteran, and he is viable in all formats today.
Shortstop (SS)
Wilmer Difo - SS, @ LAA (DK - $3,500, FD - $2,600)
Difo has been seeing more playing time ahead of Stephen Drew, and he brings great salary relief to your lineup. He has six hits over his last three games, (not including Tuesday's game). He only has a 69 wRC+ and a .339 OBP this season vs right-handed pitching, but the savings he brings makes it worth the roster spot.
Third Base (3B)
Nolan Arenado - 3B, vs SDP (DK - $5,500, FD - $4,600)
Arenado had the day off on Tuesday, so he should be set to return to the starting lineup today. Always nice to get some exposure to the game at Coors Field, and even though Arenado is super expensive, he makes a great play. This season vs left-handed pitching, he has a .518 wOBA and a .404 ISO. Massive numbers and he can be played in any format.
DFS Outfielders to Consider
Jacoby Ellsbury - OF, @ MIN (DK - $3,500, FD - $3,000)
Ellsbury had the day off yesterday, and it was announced that Aaron Judge, would be getting the day off today, so Jacoby should be in the lineup. Ellsbury is cheap on both sites, and comes into this game with a 118 wRC+ and a .145 ISO vs right-handed pitching this season. Should be batting higher up in the lineup, and gives you some exposure to the Yankees offense.
Nomar Mazara - OF, @ BAL (DK - $3,800, FD - $3,100)
The Rangers offense failed to show up last night, and this is a spot to go right back to the well with them. Mazara is up against Kevin Gausman, who is giving up a .390 wOBA to left-handed hitters this season. Mazara is relatively cheap on both sites, and has a 111 wRC+ and a .206 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers.
Jay Bruce - OF, vs STL (DK - $4,400, FD - $3,500)
If you are looking for a player with home run upside tonight, Bruce is your guy. This season vs right-handed pitchers, he has a .401 wOBA and a .309 ISO. Big time numbers from the vet, and he makes a great one off in GPPs, due to the home run potential.
