DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider
Kyle Hendricks - SP, vs LAD (DK - $8,000, FD - $9,000)
Do yourself a favor and only play tournament formats in this two game slate. There is absolutely quality pitching on the board, but none are safe from blow ups and if this playoffs has taught us anything thus far, it's to expect the unexpected. I like Hendricks tonight for a handful of reasons. He's come up clutch on a number of occasions this season and certainly doesn't shy away from big moments. He wasn't spectacular in the NLDS game 5 clincher, but he worked around the initial damage and turned in a pretty good fantasy performance. Tonight, he's cheap, backed by the home crowd and moves into a environment - the north side of Chicago in October - that should be pretty cold and an advantage to pitchers. He does a great job of limiting damage and posted a season K/9 of 8.07. What makes him more attractive is the fact that the lineup the Dodgers are marching out tonight is the most strikeout heavy lineup of the four teams in play tonight.
Also Consider: Sonny Gray - SP, vs HOU (DK - $7,100, FD - $8,100)
DFS Infielders to Consider
Didi Gregorious - SS, vs HOU (DK - $4,400, FD - $3,400)
Frankly, Didi is too hot and under-priced not to roster this evening. On most nights where Carlos Correa is on the slate, you have to consider the opportunity cost of fading him, but Didi has been giving us the two home run upside that Correa represents, so I'm comfortable with Didi tonight and cost savings that comes with it.
Anthony Rizzo - 1B, vs LAD (DK - $4,300, FD - $3,900)
Truth be told, Cody Bellinger probably has the safer floor tonight - but he's going to be owned at a much higher rate and will ding your wallet a bit more. Consistency is one of the things that made Rizzo great this season, and while he's struggled a bit in the playoffs, facing a right-hander should help get him back on the right track. His season long splits against northpaws were excellent - .390 wOBA and a .241 ISO.
DFS Outfielders to Consider
Josh Reddick - OF, at NYY (DK - $3,800, FD - $2,800)
Reddick gives you the cash savings to roster monsters (like Aaron Judge and George Springer) at the other outfield spots and he's at his best when facing a right-handed pitcher, as the case will be tonight in his matchup against Sonny Gray. For the season, Reddick posted a wOBA and an ISO split that were .60 and .120 points higher than his mark against southpaws, respectively.
Kyle Schwarber - OF, vs LAD (DK - $3,300, FD - $2,500)
You can call it a hunch if you'd like, but Schwarber is my home run prediction for this evening. His Statcast hard hit rate data is very strong of late and he should be hitting in the middle of this order now that they're facing off against a right-handed pitcher again. His season-long .281 ISO split is the third strongest among all outfielders in this two game slate.
