We have a number of really good teams in action today and some really closely projected matches which should make for an awesome GPP slate.
Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings and FanDuel for Tuesday, May 5th, 2020 at 12:30 PM. Road to Rio (Best of 3)
- FaZe (-650) vs. GODSENT (+355)
- C0ntact (+130) vs. North (-180)
- Dignitas (+575) vs. Astralis (-1600)
- Heretics (+140) vs. NiP (-195)
CS:GO DFS Captain Considerations
NiKo checks in as the highest-priced player on DraftKings at $9,200 while he is the fifth-highest priced player on FanDuel at $11,800. He is averaging 71.2 DraftKings points per game and is carrying a K/D ratio of 1.18 over the last 25 maps played. NiKo has a career K/D ratio of 1.21 against GODSENT and this is over 23 maps played.
Over the last nine games, he has had over 40+ kills in each game while having double-digit assists in seven of those nine games as well. With this being a good matchup, NiKo will be a popular play but could see lower ownership in tournaments due to his high price tag.
Maka is the highest-priced player on FanDuel while he is the second-highest priced player over on DraftKings for his matchup against NiP. We have seen him go off in recent weeks which has shown his massive upside that he presents. The past two matchups have been tougher as he has been held in check against Astralis and Fnatic.
In his previous six games, he is averaging 86.1 DraftKings points per game and holds a career K/D ratio of 1.04 against NiP. Maka has been in great form over the last month as he has posted a 1.28 K/D ratio while having a .76 kill per round rate and only a .59 death per round rate. While he is expensive, Maka could be a player that takes over a slate.
Other captain plays: Xyp9x, Nivera, coldzera, device (Cash), broky
CS:GO DFS Value Plays
Olofmeister has been in good form recently as he has had three straight 50+ DraftKings point performances and is only $5,600 on DraftKings. Over on FanDuel, he is $10,100 which is a little too pricey for my liking but it shows the value that he is on this slate on DraftKings.
In the most recent three games played, he has had 40+ kills in each game which has been a driver to his great success recently. With his price point being low and the consistency he has shown, he could be a solid cash game play that helps you get exposure to FaZe.
Lucky is only $6,200 on DraftKings but is priced up on FanDuel at $11,200 which shows how much of a value he is over on DraftKings. He is averaging 60.8 DraftKings points per game and has a 1.11 K/D ratio over the last month. Since the beginning of 2020, he has accumulated a K/D ratio of 1.10 and has a .69 kill per round rate.
In his last six games, he has had five 50+ DraftKings points per game which shows his consistency. Lucky is viable for both cash games and tournaments as he provides salary relief, consistency and upside.
Other value plays:gla1ve, kioShiMa, cajunb

Top CS:GO DFS Stacks
Astralis has been in great form recently as they are winners of three straight and four out of their last five games. They are ranked #3 in the world and have a team K/D ratio of 1.09 over their last 29 maps played. Over that stretch, they are 18-10 and four out of five squad members have had above a 1 K/D ratio.
Astralis has a very complete squad from top to bottom so it is always tough to narrow down who the top play could be. Device and Magisk have had above a 1.15 k/D ratio over their last 28 maps played while Xyp9x has had a 1.13 K/D ratio so all three make for great plays in a matchup that they should be able to take care of with ease.
Heretics come in as the underdogs against NiP which in theory, means we will see lower ownership flocking to the Heretics side of this matchup. NiP has been in really good form lately, winning four out of their last five games while Heretics has dropped three straight games.
Despite this mini losing streak, Heretics has been playing well as they have had a team K/D ratio of 1.12 over the last month and have gone 23-13 over their last 36 maps played. So far during the Road to Rio qualifier, Heretics have had three players have an above 1 K/D ratio.
Maka and Nivera are the top two players from this squad as they have both carried above a 1.20 K/D ratio in the Road to Rio qualifier games. Lucky makes for a viable value play as he has a 1.02 K/D ratio over the last 13 maps that he has played.
Other stacks/ teams: FaZe
