We have a four-game main slate on DraftKings that is a part of the ESL One: Road to Rio qualifier. This has been an awesome tournament so far and has provided us with some great, competitive matches. We have a number of really good teams in action today and some really closely projected matches which should make for an awesome GPP slate.
Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS advice, analysis, and lineup picks for eSports DFS contests on DraftKings and FanDuel for Saturday, May 16th, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Road to Rio (Best of 3)
- Hard Legion (+115) vs. Winstrike (-160)
- Nemiga (-115) vs. Syman (-115)
- G2 (+110) vs. FaZe (-150)
- GODSENT (-160) vs. North (+115)
CS:GO DFS Captain Considerations
El1an is the most expensive player on the slate at $8,800 which is actually a steal for a player of his caliber. He is averaging 62.9 DK points per game and has hit 50+ DK points in five of his last seven games played. He has a 1.30 K/D ratio over the last 21 maps played and has a .73 kill per round rate while having a .56 death per round rate. If looking for a top tier player that could reach his ceiling on this slate, El1an is the person to look at.
zehN is a good tournament option for the captain role especially with the salary savings that he presents for the rest of your lineup. He is $7,800 and averages 47.6 DK points per game which is pretty solid. Over his last six games, he has hit 50+ DK points five times with two of those games hitting above 80+ DK points. Over the last month of games, zehN has produced a 1.10 K/D ratio with a .72 kill per round rate and a .65 death per round rate. While he doesn’t offer the most upside on the slate, his pricing is intriguing enough to open up salary while still providing upside and low ownership.
Other captain plays: NiKo, maden, lollipop21k
CS:GO DFS Value Plays
Speed4k is priced down on DK at $6,800 and is averaging 57.2 DK points per game. While he has struggled in his two most recent games, his three games before those went for 60+ DK points. Over his last 28 maps played, he has accrued a 1.06 K/D ratio which is third-highest on the team during that 28 map stretch. Over the same stretch, he has had a .66 kill per round rate while having only a .62 death per round rate. Speed4k seems too priced down which makes him a good viable tournament option.
Rain is just $6,000 and he is carrying a 55.8 DK point average. He has had four straight games of 50+ DK points and has shown the 80+ upside that he brings to lineups. Over the last month, he has carried a 58.6 headshot percentage while only having a .97 K/D ratio. Rain is more of a volatile value play and should only be considered in tournaments and could draw lower ownership. If looking for more of a safer play, broky is only $800 more and a much better overall player.
Other value plays: KrizzeN, broky

Top CS:GO DFS Stacks
GODSENT enters this matchup as the higher-ranked team and has beaten North in the last 30 days. GODSENT hasn’t been in the greatest of forms due to their recent losses to top-tier teams but this should be a highly competitive game between both teams. North enters this matchup with a team K/D ratio of .93 over the last month while GODSENT has produced a K/D ratio of .97 over the same time span. Over the last month, GODSENT has had three of its members have a 1+ K/D ratio. ZehN leads the way with a 1.10 K/D ratio with Maden and STYKO both having a 1.06 K/D ratio and all make for viable stacking options on this slate.
Nemiga is an intriguing stacking option on this slate. They own the career head-to-head record against Syman with a 2-1 record and have won three out of their last five games. Over the last month, Nemiga has owned a team K/D ratio of 1.04 while Syman has carried a .95 team K/D ratio so the edge goes to Nemiga. Over that stretch, they have had four players carry an above 1 K/D ratio with lollipop21k leading the way with a 1.15 k/D ratio. Jyo and speed4k are both stacking options for Nemiga and make for good value options if looking for one-offs or stacking pieces.
Other stacks/ teams: Winstrike, FaZe
